Exactly. The original only had the one room inside, and it was in the back, where the one would expect the engines to be. This is the millinium Falcom I wanted, when I was a kid. They even redid the gun turrets.
wow I remember seeing the proto for this a few months ago. It's a pitty they don't have a 360 view of it to show all the hidden features with this one...
oh, i see only disaster here...if i splurged on this, my best friend would call me obscenities and do a piss poor job of hiding his scorn and envy. He is a SW collector, but he is not like some of us here- willing to buy 9 versions of Optimus. he's got the 90s edition and that is all he will get, but this...this would make him upset. i could enjoy that...way too much for our friendship to last, lol. BTW, any details on price and so forth?
i prefer the outrider but i do love the falcon. i always regretted not buying the last one of my friend when he offered me it for cheap. i would love to buy this but i highly doubt i'll be able to afford it, not to mention i have no where to put it as it looks huge
That... that looks dangerous. Seriously, both to my wallet and availible display space. Thats one of the reasons I'm 'trying' not to buy any more Star Wars vehicles, apart from the fact UKers are charged up the wazoo for them they take up so much space! But that does look wicked sweet. A friend of mine recently bought some premium Falcon, the size of a table. So he's actually boxed it into a glass box and now its his coffee table. I have to go round there soon and stea... er, admire it.
I like it. To be honest though, I don't know if it is worth $150. I am hoping, judging by the looks of it, that it is larger than the old one. It is more accurate to the movie Falcon. Looks like the cockpit opens different, which is a better choice. The turrets though, don't look right for some reason. It may seem right from the inside view, but if you look at ESB while Han is working on it, you clearly see the other versions cannon was more accurate. I will have to see by the time it is released.
This one is more movie Acurate, the radar dish is smaller for one, the quad guns look close to the movie version, the 95 version is the same as the 79 version (I have both) and the Quads on the older version look like crap. I hope it includes the added forward landing struts like the proto had as the movie version had in ESB & ROTJ. and $150.00???? my girlfriend would kill me All though.... If i sell the original (Loose/complete with the working grinding noise) and the 95 version (MIB) and maybe the Outrider (MIB) I could get this badboy
Its substantially bigger than the old one. Look at the seat in the middle.....this thing will be huge.
Oh well, there went my ideas of actually purchasing this thing. It looks fantastic, but there's no way I can justify paying that much for it...
What a piece of JUNK! Seriously, though, YUM. I remember hearing about this, but I hadn't seen pics. I see evidence of 3 launching proton torpedoes and light-up "headlights" in front. I think it's supposed to have light-up engines and a sound chip (sound effects and voice). The interior looks GREAT. But $150 and the sheer size will give me pause. We'll see....
Holy shit. The 95ish one was one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, and getting this would just be insane. I can almost guess at what kind of look I would get from my girlfriend if I ever came home with this.
