Now that our favorite sea sponge has been on 10 years on TV and the celebration for it is coming this July. What did you think of the series?
I liked season 1-4 and the movie. I can't stand most of the recent episodes. Well, anyway, for those whore fans of the series, discuss what you liked and disliked about the series.

I like alot of the episodes. The new ones have been really good and the movie was great.

Only things I don't like are the hyped up "special events" like "Spongebob vs. The Big One". It ended very suddenly and the intertwining stories weren't very interesting. Though Johnny Depp and Davey Jones were great.

Overall, it's a goldmine series that I think is very well written.

I enjoyed it, although for my goofy cartoon humor I go for the Misadventures of Flapjack. The show is stupid and I feel stupid for watching it, but it still makes me laugh.

The show is still funny after all this time, with exceptions. "The Big One" being the most recent and biggest let down. The end made no sense (how did the dropouts get to Goo Lagoon without riding "the big one", why did JKL come back if he was the supposed "sacrifice" to "The Big One"?), and everybody outside of Spongebob didn't even reconize Sandy in this ep, in fact, she seemed more like and extra in this story as the only thing she did was hit the Flying Dutchman to save Krabs by accident.

Really great show. Everything after season 4 is terrible, though. I love the episode "Club SpongeBob."

I used to be DOPE 4 SPONGEBOB.

I stopped watching it around the time I stopped being 11. Though I recently caught a repeat and it made me laugh a lot. (the one with "Doodlebob")

Does anyone know the name of the episode where Mr. Crabs window kept opening up everytime he closed it and ended up breaking off the ends of his feet when they got stuck in the knot holes in his floor?

That bit in the episode made me laugh so hard.

I never knew what it was until some of my kids at my job brought the movie on dvd; i think its funny and entertaining for when there is nothing else on. I seriously thought that when people talked about this show the first 4 years, they were referring to some new clothes fad from the Gap.

Squeaky Boots, I think. Mr. Krabs makes some funny faces in that episode.

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves the show and has them all on DVD.
Spongebob is far and away her favorite cartoon and has been since before she could even talk. Its easy to see why its so popular, its well done.

Jellyfish Jam is her favorite episode, she laughs hysterically at all the jellyfish.

Frankly sometimes I yell at myself for liking the show because some gags are made for kids and I no longer get them, thankfully thats not really often.

It brought about the end of good cartoon shows. Granted, it was funny for the first two seasons, but when they made a movie on it, that right there was basically jumping the shark. Same thing happened with Rugrats, only they added in new characters we didn't really give two shits about. And look what happened to that. It got canceled, got a sequel series that shortly got canceled, and now Nickelodeon's whoring out their yellow, spongy mascot.

    Just my :2c:

How exactly did it bring about the end of good cartoons? I'm watching "The Spectacular Spider-Man" right now and that's a good cartoon.

Ah, I get it now. And yeah, I agree. It's the last good show on Nickelodeon. Everything else that's come along hasn't been very good.

Some fairly odd parents are decently written and entretaining.

    Danny Phantom was AWESOME.

Kid versus Kat is fairly entretaining.

Its a matter of perspective really.
