Bumblebee: "Hey, Prime! I met some humans!" *Spongebob laugh* *Spongebob laugh* *Spongebob laugh*

    Ironhide: *goes for his gun*

    Prime: "Ironhide, NO!"

Ironhide: "But PRIME! Just one shot! One shot is all I need!"

Don't worry...we've already established that Primus is to be voiced by Adam Corolla (w/ Unicron voiced by Christopher Walken).

No. Not Tom Kenny. This is the guy who plays as Sponge-freakin'-Bob. I don't even wanna know which poor TF gets his voice. I like Tom Kenny, he's funny as hell, but I wouldn't recommend his voice.

I'm not a Spongebob fan ,I hate the character. However I could be open minded for this choice. He could be the new Starscream or Bumblebee voice(depending of course if this characters DO come out in the new CN TFs show).

As long as that guy who did the dub voice for Gokou in DBZ and that kid in Armada isn't in the show, I could care less if Spongebob Squarepants is in it.

I read that hearing Peter Cullen's voices for Prime and Ironhide. I gotta side with Ironhide, on that one.

Tom Kenny being involved shows that this series is going for top voice talent, thats for sure. You don't just cast him unless you're willing to write a big check.

Interesting news... I'm not familiar with any of his voices, but looking at his credits in imdb.com, I'd say he has range.

indeed, he's one very talented voice actor.

Actually, union voice talent all get paid the same standard rate for TV animation no matter what show it is, with the exception of multi-voicers hired for doing more than three speaking characters.

But with the news that Kenny has been hired for this, that means they are at least casting in the US, which says a good deal in favor of the quality of the production. Not to berrate Canadian voice talents at all--a number of them are excellent, as the BW and BM series can attest. But all too frequently US studios have been hiring Canadian VAs for series because it's cheaper and many of the voice talents are non-union.

Just an FYI, but there's no such thing as an "anime union". In fact, quite a few of the voice actors (Canadian and US) hired for anime titles don't even have union status.

Nitpicking yet again, but not all voice actors can do "a range of voices". Some have limited range and versatility--in the industry, they're called "one-voicers". I call it "Gilbert Gottfried Syndrome."

And I must really be getting old if a guy who didn't break into animation voiceovers until the mid-90's is being described as having "been around for awhile."

IMDB says he voiced Boba Fett in Droids (1986). Another credit lists a 1990 anime dub. The guy has been around awhile.

....or as I like to call it "Cam Clarke Syndrome". I didn't think of Gilbert Gottfried as he is the one who stands out the most.

Right, because if you read it on IMDB, it must be true! Just like the time they had on Gregg Berger's credits that he died in 2000.

A number of sources cite "Rocko's Modern Life" as being Tom's first foray into animation voiceovers, and he's stated the same himself in interviews and at convention appearances.

You've made me curious though. I'll see if I can get in touch with him to confirm these earlier credits.
