Okay I know some of this will sound farfetched but hear me out: We all know that there were some surviving Decepticon troopers or Vehicons for short on Cybertron right? Could they be the Decepticons from the new series? Just fixed up into individual characters? Modified by Shockwave?

With Megatron having disbanded the Decepticons could it be that Shockwave has taken his place and thus Megatron could be against Shockwave, Steeljaw and his (Steeljaw's) intentions?

It would also explain the animal forms and Grimlock's apparent amnesia.

I literally sat down for two days (separate) just thinking about these.

I think Shockwave has nothing to do with it especially he and the others should be in jail or death, the Vehicons could be just in forced labor but I think Megatron will be involved sooner or later

 

Shockwave was the only left uncaptured at the end of TF: Prime. Who knows what he's done so far, or what his goals are?

 

But if you look at Cybertron and his damage in his last scene... He is most likely dead but he could come back

 

Were these cons imprisoned before TFP or afterwards?

 

Before because they clearly have no idea about what happened to Cybertron and restoration

 

I'm going with the modified by Shockwave theory until they explain it, because thats just super interesting.

Mayb they're half Con half Pred? After loosing his entire field of Predacon bones + his pet Predacons, Shockwave might've used whatever CNA he had left on some unfortunate subjects?


At least the stigma against having an animal mode fits nicely with the prejudice against Preds seen (but never really explored) in Prime.

Bee, Optimus, and several other characters have very similar chests, are you saying that they are all Shockwave too?

After the 5th ep I am 100% on board with the Alchemor being a war-era prison ship. All we really need is a con to mention Megs or something along those lines.
on the Shockwave point I doubt that it is his work as almost all of the cons have been given a Sub-Species name implying it to be more like the Preds before they went extinct e.g. another type of Cybertronian life form. But that's my interpretation.

 

Theory : Shockwave pulled another Ser-Ket from his eye.

Why his eye? cause it was cracked so much that it was illogical to repair it.

 

It's not Shockwave. They're just criminals of different species.
