Might be the hatchlings from ROTF grown up? Their faces kind of look similar. I had this thought when reading the scene where Megatron is feeding his bag of hatchlings in Africa.

I think the hatchlings grew into the "drones" or whatever you wanna call em. But possibly the dreads too

I don't think so, because the Dreads came from the Moon. The Nemesis was on some other planet. And also, weren't the Dreads already buried/crashed on the Moon, from like a long time ago?

At least that's what it looks like from the trailer, something brings them back. The Hatchlings? Nah, I doub it. It must take years for the hatchling to grow..

I doubt it. The Dreads' bios describe them as an elite team specializing in infiltration and assassination, which implies they've been around for a long time.

    Nope.

Hatchlings are still in DOTM, being fed by Megatron.

They're meant to be the next generation of Deception armies.

    Doesn't fit.

You SEE who is probably Crankcase coming out of the surface of the moon in one of the trailers. That would make it impossible for me to connect "Hatchlings = Dreads."

I'm just wondering why the Dreads were buried under the moon's surface and why they didn't come to help in ROTF. Plotholes I tell you...I mean, if they were that close why not come to help lol.

for the TF, going from moon to earth (assuming they can be easily reawakened without the help of you-know-what) is not as simple as jumping off the surface and turn into "protoforms" and bon voyage.

in DOTM , all the decepticons managed to mobilise en masse from the moon to earth thanks to the activation of space bridge.
