So I read the whole article over at /film and they mention that the story will involve parts about the transformers were some how a part of the "space race" between the US and the USSR. What if the Russians had a transformer as well i.e., like S7 had Megatron, but it was Omega Supreme.... and he could have a Russian accent or something.... Good idea, bad idea?
I smell there is more to the Tunguska event of 1908. Either a Transformer or those asteroids that the Allspark crashed into developed Energon.
Megatron is building the space bridge with the russians as patrick dempsey is the evil russian scientist, to get back to cybertron while shockwave is holding down the fort, while the americans must space race and build their own spacebridge to beat the decepticons. Obviously Sam's new job will relate to something that will help build this said space bridge. If omega supreme is involved, which I highly doubt, I hope he steps on the twins in the first 30 minutes. Oh and if there is a "russian" transformer, $34.12 says its a Junkion
From what we've seen in the films so far about how the robots make planet fall it does fit right in with the movie mythology. It also fits in because from both Megatron and the Seekers we know that the Transformers did not just arrive a few years ago. The Transformer who crashed in the Tunguska event could have been manipulating things to their own end since 1908.
In ROTF Megs said there was another source of energon on Earth, so you may be on to something.. Also I agree with RowdyHavokRolla. Maybe the Junkions have been asleep for years in some Russian nuclear waste field.
