    Spin-Out

My thought process was basically this, I wanted to make a Lamborghini guy. Sideswipe is already in the movie-verse to Sunstreaker was my next thought. However I didn't want to do a yellow version (Bumblebee being yellow and all) so why not red. Sideswipe isn't using the color and I thought the Autobots could use a red car. Sunstreaker looks nice in red (one of his Diaclone colors) and I always loved his unused/original name Spinout, so that's what I ended up doing.

So in the end he's very much inspired by G1 Sunstreaker (some minor Prowl touches found their way in as I went as well). His alt. mode is a Lamborghini Reventon (pics below, I just "painted" them red). Haven't found the time to draw up his transformation but I do have one in mind.

Short version (in case anyone is wondering): his front wheels are folded together in the middle of his back (under his jetpack/boosters), back wheels are in the lower part of the legs. His chest is made up of part of his windshield and roof. Abdomen is the car's engine/engine cover. Doors on back, etc. etc. (there's more but that'll do for now).

    So yeah, Spin-Out!

I really dig this one. The design really reminds me of the later Japanese G1 Transformers (ala "Star Convoy" and such). I like all the sharper lines and harder edges he has. Cool design and very well thought out.

I like it very much, especially the ability to cast such a sexy shadow.

Very cool! All the pointy-ness is ver nice. Also, nice choice of model for size comparison :p

Anyways, he's very cool. The head shape and colors are really want make this character who he is. The elements all seemingly colide in a graceful manner to make a very badass, manly robot!

Thanks. I've always loved the Japanese G1 guys, such great designs. So if any part of this conjures such comparisons I take it as a huge complement :)

    Thank you!

    True!

Thanks, always happy when I can get your take on things.

Now that would be a unique ability.

Yes the Size Comparison silhouette (the female in the right of the image, if anyone is wondering) was something I wanted to do from the start. All the other human size comparison pics I saw on the official TF concept designs were army men/regular men. I figured that's good and all but why not go with a sexy woman (curvy and what not) against the harsher edged shapes of the bot. Sort of like a car show model, but with an Autobot....

Anyway, thank you. I wouldn't normally think of graceful and badass going together, but I like it.
