i find sam to win this match. He is the more realistic hero. Anyone would run away from a huge robot trying to kill you. He freaking killed megatron. He revived optimus prime. but spike on the other hand, he is always wearing the same thing, he is the head of a robot that turns into another head of a bigger robot. in the idw comics he's a jerk. And all those things like him shooting primes gun, is just inhuman. i dont see spike shooting a ATLEAST 100 pound gun. sam is just more realistic.
They're both equally useless. But at least sam is funny in his uselessness. Best thing spike did was get eaten by unicron, and even then, he had to be saved by daniel's random shot that miraculously worked.
Spike for sure. He's a Headmaster, plus in Headmasters when he was injured he told Daniel to man up, stop crying and risk his life to save everyone! He also shouts at Autobot leaders a lot and gets them to change their plans, like Rodimus in Time Wars.
Man, I still sometimes accidentally CALL Sam "Spike", so it's like, I don't even care, they might as well be the same guy.
i'd run UNDER em. that way I DARE TO BE STUPID. anyways, in Transformers, i'm not here to see realistic sh*t, i'm here to see Autobots wage their battle to destory the evil forces of the Decepticons. I actually like them both, but Spike FTW cuz Spike SAVED ALL TRANSFORMERS in Five Faces of Darkness. other wise ALL tf's would look like this:
I'm going to say of the two Spike. Sam is a likable guy. He's just enough of a looser that you can relate to the guy, gets stuck in the middle of things he doesn't want to be a part of, but he never turns into that Hollywood bad ass just to save the day. The "no, no, no, no, no" and all the running gets rather annoying though. He's close but no cigar. At least Spike knew when to get the heck out of the way to let the story be about Transformers. I guess he also represents the part of us that would want to know more and to be a part of the Transformers world. My main human would be Sari. I just love the way she could horrify the robots and make them seem so alien by telling them things like going to the bathroom.
Maybe in the third movie we'll learn that Sam has a long lost brother named Spike. Now that would be interesting.
Nostalgia compelled me to vote for Spike, but I just don't like him. Besides, Sam was a more pivital character. I also like his comic relief better.
I always felt Spike was kind of a winy cry-baby whenever his fellow Autobot friends got hurt. Nostalgic, Spike for sure, but character wise, Sam.
Character wise, Spike. Maybe it was because he had more screentime, but he clicked more with me. Sam is alright, he's kind of like an "Ultimate Spike". But as far as I am concerned, I still like the original. That thought crossed my mind as well
This. As for Spike vs Sam, Spike was annoying, Sam is ok but I want his name to be Spike. I like adult Spike so I guess I pick Spike.
