I guess it's just to differentiate Amazing and Ultimate, since Ult's normal costume is just the same as Amazing's. That and an excuse to use black suit Spidey as always.

What's the story on Noir though? Never even heard of that Spidey til this vid. 50's theme or something?

 

Make the pig playable and I will buy this game no questions asked. I've really got to track down those old Spider-ham comics.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get this and being highly disapointed they went with the Ultimate Spidey instead of Zombie Spidey but now I am sold because of deadpool.

 

The thing is though, Ultimate Spidey almost didn't wear the suit at all.
Mainverse Spider-man wore it for months before he even got a hint that it was bad, Ultimate Spider-man wore it for less than a week.

I've never heard of it either -it looks the most interesting of all of them to me.

 

Noir is a reimaging of Marvel's characters in the 30s.

nah, when they launched the Nior line in comics, SM was one of the first ones to get the treatment

 

Looks like the Ultimate bits might be a follow to the last Ult. Spidey game; which focused heavily on the Symbiote in general.

 

Yeah, I never played that game and, from what I understand, it's not worth tracking down.
But I remember feeling cheated that so much of the black suit saga's story played out in the game and not on the page.

But, that was kind of something I expected in Ultimate Spider-man.
The entire Ultimate Lizard story arc took place in one panel flashbacks.

 

mysterio's new design is cool, i just hope he's not the final boss in yet another spiderman game.

For some reason whenever I see him for a split-second I always think "OCTOPUNCH--oh wait it's Mysterio".

 

For those who don't know yet: the DS version will apparently omit the "Ultimate"-verse. Only the "Amazing", "Noir", and "2099" universes will be included.

Not really a huge loss in my opinion. Ultimate's inclusion seemed to just be an excuse to have a "Symbiote Spider-Man" anyway.

Like the DS version of "Web of Shadows", this version will be developed by Griptonite Games and be in the "Metroidvania" platforming/exploration style.

I love Web of Shadows for the DS, so that's good news as far as I'm concerned.

 

i cant freaking wait for this, comes out on my birthday, and im amazed the Wii version will be pretty much the same as the others, a nice change for once.

It was awesome to hear 80's Spidey's voice again.

 

Got this for the 360. the second Ultimate Spider-man level is, by far, the greatest damn thing ever in video games.... EVER.

Nolan North is back as Deadpool... and hearing Ultimate Spidey and Deadpool banter... I was laughing for most of the level.

 

Try less than a day.

Spidey went to the lab to get a sample of the suit material, and accidentally got some on him. After he realized what the suit did, he found and humiliated Shocker, stopped some bank robbers (or something) then finally lost control and almost killed a mugger who shot an old man. In trying to get the thing off, he almost killed himself via electrocution on some powerlines. Then he took what was left of the suit material (or at least what he knew about) and destroyed it.

That was it. He only had the suit for a matter of hours before he realized that it was bad news and ditched it.

I think that he temporarily got it back in a later issue, but I haven't read that so I'm not sure.

 

I really want to get this game. The 2099 levels look so cool.
