There's some franchises that I can see pulling off 3D very well, and Spider-Man is one. Imagine getting a first person view of webslinging in 3D visuals, that alone would be awesome.

Seeing Avatar made 3D grow on me because it did it to add depth and not just make shock moments. I really dont get why every movie has to be 3D now though, when they announced Ghostbusters 3 in 3D I was like "okay, I can see that working okay, long as it's not overboard "throw crap at the camera all the time" 3D". Then Gremlins 3 was announced in 3D and I immediately got fed up with 3D again.

There actually was quite a few scenes in Raimi's Spidey films that would have lent themselves well to being in 3D. So it could work.

Me personally, I really couldn't care less about 3D. It's a gimmick, and nothing else. It's a little extra razzle dazzle to your movie going experience. It adds nothing to the actual movie as a form of story telling. Which is why it's so funny that Bay apparently doesn't care for it...lolz for the irony.

    YES! No TF's in 3D!

Back on topic: Interesting. I know a lot of people were disappointed with the IMAX version of Spiderman 3 because it wasn't like a 3D thrill ride but heck, I had a feeling it was coming. Can't wait.

True people are using 3D more but the way I see it, it's kinda like a new toy you get on christmas or your birthday that you immediately play with after breakfast just to see how it works. I'm positive they might get bored of it by 2015.

I'm more concerned with who will be in it and what the story will be.

Are we living in the 19fucking50s or something? This gimmick has been around for decades, and has yet to produce anything worthwhile. Let it fucking die.

Exactly. Why don't we worry about the movie being good or bad before we start getting all riled up about the bells and whistles.

Being concerned over it being 3D is kind of like judging a movie by the teaser poster or worrying if the overpriced popcorn you're going to buy at the concession stand is gonna be any good.
