What is going on at IMDB? A few weeks ago they "de-listed" Topher Grace as "Venom", possibly as belated damage control to safeguard the "big surprise" of the movie, and now they've added a curious credit to Rosemary Harris. According to IMDB.com, the sweet old lady who plays Peter's Aunt May is also slated to play the offspring of Venom--the bloodthirsty villain called Carnage! Can it be true? Stay tuned for more on this surprising turn of events!

Never believe any "news" coming from IMDB. Anyone can edit those listings.
my moneys on the lizard....not carnage
Am i the only one whose worried this could turn out like xmen 3?
to much story to many characters just not enough time
Carnage isn't listed on IMDB anymore, but Dr. Connors/The Lizard is.
So I'm guessing The Sandman, Venom, Green Goblin/Hob Goblin, The Lizard will be the villians
I wasn't aware that Spiderman 3 was titled: Spiderman VS the Legion of Doom
Maybe they can follow the Batman Formula and have Spidey girl or something in it.
Wow 1v4 he better grow 6 new arms since he is spider-man.Let see who we got:
hobgoblin i guess
I'm not to keen on the idea of 4 separate villains.
Working on there back stories would take the entire film.
Though here's a thought, completely out of left field.
We know Sandman is coming, perhaps we might even see Hydro-Man.
That would account for 2 of the villains.
The third might be Venom (though I only hope for the seeds to be sown in this film)
But the fourth.... well how about Hydro-Man and Sandman combining, like they did in the comics at one time.
It could work.
Well It could go with 4 villians considering how badly Harry wants Spidey eliminated. No doubt in this movie he will take out all of the stops to get at him. If done right this could work. JMHO.
Spiderman is pretty close to Raimi's heart, so i don't *think* he'll turn in a dud.... but he may not have much of a script with which to work.
I think it's the same thing, but the 4th is probably a robotic Rhino or Shocker, a 'grunt' to accompany the leader (Sandman). Sides, I think Venom will be handled like in the Ultimate comics: Spidey gets the refined suit, and Brock gets the prototype.
Depending on who the villians are it shouldn't be too hard to develop 4 of them. With Harry as the Green Goblin they already have the first two movies where we see how Harry grows to hate Spiderman, and we already know Dr. Connors, with him becoming the lizard you don't need much dependent on how the Lizard is portrayed, as the intelligent one or the mindless savage beast...if the latter there isn't need of much backstory or development if he is just a wild animal. That just leaves the sandman and venom for alot of character development I guess
I think it is all dependent on how you play the villains. Do something like Batman did and it will be horrid. Make them all seperate then it will be fine...
Perhaps one of the villians is just a throw away villian that Spidey fights so the movie starts off with a bit of action. Like the movie starts off in the middle of a fight between Spidey and, say, Sandman, after Sandy has robbed a bank. And then maybe Spidey rescues Gwen during the battle and thats how they introduce Gwen. Though I'm just thinking out loud here.
I still think 4 villains is too much for one movie.
As for the 4th villain my guess is Lizard. Connors was already introduce in Spiderman 2.
Well, we know for sure there's Hobgoblin (Harry), Venom, and Sandman. Lizard wouldn't be a big stretch. There's also Chamealon (sp?) who Topher was originally rumored to play. That could be an interesting 4th villain if they're so intent to add one.
Since Spiderman is in the black suit for this, Venom can't come in at least until late in the movie. I'm thinking he gets introduced, set up for a sequel and/or spinoff, and that's about it.
