I really want to see this because it looks dorky and hilarious.

But it also sounds like it's f'n dangerous for the performers. :/ I mean all these coordinated stunt pieces were tested before implementation, right?? I hope it's just a run of awful luck and not shoddy hardware due to a production rush.

Everyone knows this can now not actually make any money, right? I mean literally. With this delay, they can't possibly sell enough tickets to ever even break even.

Whoops, it's worse: 1:30 Update: Video of SPIDER-MAN Injury; Actor Identified; Equity to Halt Performances; Investigation Underway 2010/12/21

"At 11:29 AM, Equity has released a statement that "Actors' Equity Association is working with management and the Department of Labor to ensure that performances will not resume until back-up safety measures are in place."

BroadwayWorld has learned from several sources that SPIDER-MAN stuntman Christopher Tierney has suffered several broken ribs and bleeding after his nearly 30-foot free fall on the SPIDEY set last night. Fortunately, Tierney landed such that he avoided any crippling neck or spinal injury. He is still being held at the hospital in serious, but stable condition."

I believe the word "fiasco" is applying here.

Been hearing that even the cast and crew are asking that the show be canceled before someone's killed.

    Oh dear...

BBC News - Spider-Man musical given critical mauling

I have to admit - I am not surprised. From the word go I did not see this ending well. I suspect it's selling out just because people are curious to see just how bad it is.

"Hmm, not a headline, theatre news never gets the eye there. Go with page 3. 3 columns: 'Spider-Man destroys Broadway musical, costs millions!'. Go with it!"

JUST SAW THIS TODAY EPIC LULZ spoilers below.

OK first SPIDERMAN AND GREEN GOBLIN GET STUCK IN THE AIR HANGING OVER THE AUDIENCE.
    :lolol  :lolol  :lolol

NEXT it's incredibly difficult to enjoy any of the action scenes as your head is constantly swiveling and looking up as the actors are being thrown at each other and launched around the air.

NEXT their strings kept getting tangled with another guys strings or their own.

NEXT OMG THE MUSIC WAS HORRIBLE!! Who wrote those songs? The words didn't even make sense, not that it mattered with the bad singing voices.

NEXT FLASH THOMPSON THE PUNK ROCKER? LOL. All the kids in Peter's class are emo or punk. 2 jocks.

LAST, anything that wasn't fighting was completely boring, I closed my eyes to rest through a few scenes.

GOOD STUFF 1 word. CARNAGE! Yes, he's in it.

The lulz while green goblin flailed around swimming in the air and being silly while he was stuck. Spidey was just waving to people. Goblin was being all attention getting and trying to be entertaining.

Bono wrote the songs, didn't he? Given U2's output over the last 20 years, I'm not surprised they're bad.
