    1. WTF?

    2. The Dark-Arac-Knight Returns is not a cleverly disguised ripoff of The Dark Knight Returns. There is no disguise. Not in the art, not in the style, not in the substance.

    3. I used to Love Kaare Andrews, more than the internet itself, now... I dunno, 2 issues to make it right, not sure that's going to happen.

I'm trying to get this mini.

So its brutal? Kaare Andrews work is hit and miss with me due to his heavy references to other peoples work.

Anyway I'm still trying to dig up an issue of this.

I got issue 1 and enjoyed it. However I don't think it was good enough to warrant issue 2. Also, it left on a decent enough note where I don't feel I need the rest of the series.

Yes, this is exactly it. It would have been better as a series of short stories done as homage's to other peoples work.

This is kinda sad, all things considered.

I read the first issue and thought it was freakin' awesome even if a blatent rip-off of The Dark Knight Returns. Hoping to read the next issue when I head to the store Wednesday.

    just got it.

holy shit. it IS practically the spider knight returns, literally.

lame execution, at least art wise, but cool concept. also thought some dialogue, in particular the bad guys expository a bit off/stiff.

    Anyone read issue 4?

i did last night, dug the hell out of it. i love this new sinister six (dont remember if thats what they were actually called) but it was funny watching electro and hydroman take each other out, cuz i was just talking about how those 2 should never team up the other day.....and the sandman twist at the end was cool. i dug it over all, and would love to see an animated version, but thats probably not gonna happen.

only thing that struck me as odd is sandman said 6 guys had the bombs around their neck and were still in the building...however, spiderman knocked scorpion out of a window. and he hit the ground (at least it looked like that) but there were 6 distinct explosions in the building...nothing major, just seems like a flub....

I ended up getting sucked in and it was par. Not great, not bad. Just "meh".

And I kept thinking the reporter was Jimmy Olsen.

got the last issue, turned out not bad actually IMO. liked the last minute sub plot with sandman and cement girl and the general treatment of geriatric pete.

not excellent but coulda been worse.

    ....at least its not DKR2.

Or All-Star Batman and Robin. Miller should never have gone back to Batman after DKR and Year One.

I thought the story of MJ dying of radiation poisoning rather entertaining. Sad, but entertaining.
