So, I just read the Spectacular Spider-Man : Disassembled tpb, which reprinted #15-20 , and I've got a question. So, his webs are now organic, like in the movie. But, what other powers did he gain from that experience?

I believe he can communicate with bugs, and has increased sight and hearing. But I don't think of the latter ablilites have been mentioned since.

We like to pretend those issues never happened. Same with any issues from the clone saga until today.

Yeah, Spider-Wolverine powers and Iron Spider suit are more the rage now.

Sorry, I'm out of touch (stopped reading Spidey after the Gwen mess) but what do you mean by Spider-Wolverine powers?!

SPOILERY FUN FOR "THE OTHER STORYLINE"

The bandaged guy with the berserker rage in this image is Peter Parker:

And while Spider-Wolverine's something of an exaggeration (since he's only got like one long stinger-claw on each hand) it's still kind of applicable.

Anyway right after this Spider-Man dies and then comes back from the dead. And he kept the stingers.

Wow, thats really really really retarded. I thought the new suit was bad, but damn.... Is this what JMS has been doing, or was this some other writer?

A mixture of all three writers at the time. I'd like to blame Quesada for giving them the idea though. He ruins characters afterall.

Quesada's a little bitch, yes. But, JMS's run hasn't been very good either.

Yo know how Marvel meetings go right?

"We need more Wolverine, he sells book."
"Well he has 2 of his own books, appears in at least 2 of the 3 X-Men books, and Avengers."
"Well why not put him in Exiles also?"
    "OK, but we need more"
"How about we turn other characters into Wolverines?"
    "OK. Who's first?"
"Well JMS is doing that 'Other' story. Why not give him bone claws then?"
    "BRILLIANT!"

Hey, even Reed Richards is getting into the action:

(This is a preview of the upcoming Onslaught Reborn thing that Rob Liefeld's doing, FYI.)

So who's going to be the next to get claws?

There's probably some sort of explanation for it and besides it's the Heroes Reborn Reed anyway so there's really no worries for those of you who are concerned about continuity or whatever.

I just want to see who else will get claws.

I was going to ask who did that shitty artwork, but then I looked at the hair, the feet, and the poses and realized who it was.

It's like a million voices cried out in pain and were suddenly silenced.

    FUCK. I hate Liefield.

It's the 10th anniversary of Onslaught/Heroes Reborn and since Rob was one of the artists involved in the first one, he's asked to work on it. I actually want to see how this goes, strangely enough.
