Meh. It'll probably be the same as every Spider-Man game since Spider-Man 2.

Shattered Dimensions would like a word with you...

I like this whole "cause/effect" concept. You don't see that enough in games.

I'll be checking this out if I can (depends on the systems it comes out on). I just so happen to be on a Spider-Man kick as of late (beat Shattered Dimensions a couple of days ago, and am currently playing Ultimate Spider-Man), so I'm pretty optimistic about this game as of now.

Spider-Man 2099 makes this win by default.

I actually liked shattered dimensions and look forward to this "sequel" if it can be called that.

I agree, especially if Dan Gilvezan voices him again. I wasn't exactly feeling Dan's performance in SD at first, but it quickly grew on me (especially during the Doctor Octopus level :lol ).

Is it just me, or does the SM2099 artwork look like they just used one of the Flair cards from the late 90's?

I was very impressed with Shattered Dimensions (save Neil Patrick Harris voicing Amazing Spidey...did not care for) seeing as how that game seemed to be the best Spidey game since the one I picked up for the N64. I'll definitely look into getting this game. Always a big fan of the 2099 Universe. :)

Oh wow, this is fantastic news. I absolutely loved Shattered Dimensions, and Gilvezan was completely fantastic. Hope he's returning.

This "Cause-Effect" thing better amount to more than just picking option 1 or option 2...

And more emphasis on the Web swinging. I love that.

I actually kinda hope that Josh Keaton voices him. For some reason, I like to be reminded that one of the greatest superhero cartoons was cut down before it really got started. I'm a bit of a masochist like that :lol .

New Spider-Man game swinging to WonderCon | Joystiq

If that panel is anything to go by, expect Josh Keaton to be doing the voice, and an announcement to be coming soon. Since the panel is April 2nd, we'll probably know by tomorrow.

Josh Keaton is also becoming *the* Spider-Man voice, voicing the role in both MvC 3 and Marvel Super Hero Squad - similar to how Steve Blum is pretty much Wolverine in everything. Makes sense he'd do the voice here as well.

I still need to pick up shattered dimensions and give it a play. I'm loving the fact that Spider-Man 2099 is in this, can't wait to see some footage of the game.

Off to amazon to see how cheap they have SD for.

Not bad at all. The only issues that I ran across were the occasional 'clip through floor and fall forever' glitch (not a horrible issue, given how many checkpoints there are per level), and the fact that the camera controls aren't inverted (took quite a while to get used to that). These were relatively minor, though, and the rest of the game is great fun.

BTW, both of these are for the Wii version, and I'm not sure if the other versions suffer from the same problem.

The trailer for this game was released a few days ago, and I believe its Spider-Man 2099 narrating... if it is, its not the same guy as Shattered Dimensions.
