Here's something weird that I wouldn't normally build. This is a Mach 5 reshelled over a Classics Mirage. It features saw blade weopons that fit on the front of the car then snap onto the robot forearms. There's interchangeable canopies, one partial and the other a full cover for underwater adventures as well as a parascope on the trunk lid. The mini hood hatch opens to reveal the homing bird. (Which is mounted to the robots crotch for laughs) All four jump jacks are also in place for defensive maneuvers or repairs and clip together to form a bow staff in robit mode. A total of three LEDs were fit into this figure and all run off a single source. The switch is in the center console and the battery pack in the trunk.

Very very cool. Is that the diecast Mach 5? Could you give us closer up shots of the bot mode please?

    *Added*

This one's a 1/25 styrene model. Oddly enough, at that scale it still barely fit over a 1/32 classic.

The only reason I built this was to create several tutorials.
    1: 1/32 reshell
    2: Single source LED wiring
    3: tri-coat paint application
4: several other little ones such as scratch made hinges, weopon construction, basic electronics, etc, etc.....

Sorry cingularman31, but I already gave this custom away to some other d00d.

Oh Yeah! :D  I've never pictured the Mach 5 as a transformer but that actually looks pretty damn cool. Sweet-ass job Mate! :thumb  *wonders how this 1:24 model would look reshelled over an alt* [IMG]

Not bad at all, I would like a sleeker mech myself, but overall, nice work, especially considering that it's the first completed Speed Racer Transformer I've found.

Please be sure to post each of those here! I'll be honored to resource them :thumb

This turned out really nice, and it's neat to see you working outside of what you'd normally be doing. You know I'm always a fan of your work, bud :thumb

I saw a diecast Mach 5 at TRU not too long ago and thought, "wouldn't it be cool if someone reshelled an animated Arcee with this to make Elita-1?".

You, sir, have given me a reason to try this now? :)

THAT is awesome. At first I though you used Animated Blurr. This is MUCH better.

Love it! But LOL I just started working on a 1/24 scale version using HA sideswipe. Really interested in the LED work, always the deal-maker for me
