Guy did the Tick, Seinfield, Emperor's New Groove, Hoodwinked,

actually might be really cool for him to voice a Decepticon like Brawl or Bonecrusher

You forgot to mention his outstanding work on The Venture Brothers.

But I don’t know about him as a Decepticon. He had done so much comedy work that’s what I’m my mined his voice is linked to. Unless his character is meant to be comic relief, but then again I hate comic relief bad guys.

I'd rather avoid those 'immediately recognizable celebrity and/or voice actor' voices for the robot characters, please.

Except Peter Cullen, of course. :)

One thing to consider, The voices will be Vocoded over, you may not recognize him at first. But Buzzbeak has a point, and it isn't likely that the Character he'll play will be taken real serious, even if it is on purpose.

    Warburton is brilliant.
James Earl Jones, now he's got a voice that can play anything. Evil as hell like Vader, kind and heroic like the Lion-Father from Lion King.

I would guess Frenzy would have a higher pitch voice. Maybe not Alvin and The Chipmunks high but no where near as deep as Pat’s.

i haven't read the leaked script, so i don't know how much dialog he does/doesn't have, but i was watching something with Will Smith over thanksgiving weekend and thought he'd be a great replacement for a G1-esque Jazz.

Warburton's a great voice actor, but their is the commedy type-casting...

Why not Ironhide? That could work for his voice...

His voice is really too recognizable, and like others have said, I too would like to avoid that. I mean doesn't change his style of voice, it's pretty much the same for every character he plays.

Bah, next time it'll help to actually hear the guy's voice before I make a suggestion about voiceacting...

Please god no, nothing against Will Smith but I find him pretty annoying to watch, let alone listen to.

I don't necessarily think of him as a Comedy voice per se, but more of a Dead Pan. Doing a flat monotone deadpan in a situation where more,,, energy would be expected makes it funny.

"Whatcha got there pal? Some funny looking Cigars? Deena Meat Tay? Huh? Well light one up!"

Admit it, there are some Decepticons in this movie that will end up as Cannon fodder, so it'd be pretty funny if some Decepticon 3rd from left lacky had Warburton's voice just before he got nailed by Optimus.

But then there's no reason why he couldn't play a major character either.

Although some people think Nightbeat should have Bogart's voice or some immitation thereof, Warburton would make a pretty cool Autobot Detective.
