I had a depressing thought today.

2008's Botcon exclusives will probably be recolored/remolded movie toys or real gear toys. Seeing as the movie toys were the most recent, it's probably going to be movie toy redecos or Real Gear redecos. More than likely, G1 Tranformer names will be incorporated into the Movie continuity.

It will be unlikely to see anymore classic repaints this year, especially in the unreleased wave (Sideswipe, Octane, etc.), seeing as they repainted nearly all the classics already. Redecos of the the animated series toys would also be unlikely seeing as those molds will still be too new around convention time.

Here are some of my guesses:


From movie toy molds:

Barricade - Bluestreak, Prowl.
Blackout - Vortex, Spinister, Sandstorm, Blades.
Bonecrusher - Grapple.
Brawl - Bludgeon, Quake, Warpath.
Bumblebee - Smokescreen, Windcharger.
Ironhide - got nothin.
Jazz - Sideburn, Boss (or other Turbomaster), Moonracer.
Longarm - Hoist.
Ratchet - First Aid or Fixit.
Scorponok - Quickstike.
Starscream - Skywarp, Sunstorm, Needlenose.
Wreckage - Firestar (or other female).


From Real Gear molds:

Booster X 10 - Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Squalktalk, Raindance
High score 100 - Beastbox, Apeface
Longview - Perceptor
Spy shot 6 - Reflector!!
Meantime - Time Warrior
Power Up VT6 - ???
Speed Dial 800 - Shockwave?
Zoom Out 25x - Eject, Rewind

we're getting re-painted Nike sneaker transformers painted as classic g1 characters with remolded heads.

 

I don't think FP can use any of the movie molds for exclusives.
