Die-cast wasn't the problem with the Titanium line, the crappy joints were.

This might be the best Megs that I have seen?! Always like Megs as tanks than guns and this tank looks great (undercarriage not withstanding)! This rendition is such an imposing figure... May have to grab...

Which I think was a result of diecast? Hard to make friction joints using a material with no give. But not just joints. Even the pant application was terrible on them.
Anyway, can't even come close to Spark Toys and nor would it being a crappy ten year old deluxe vs brand new MP scale stuff. Difference in price, design, materials ...

No, the joints would have been just as terrible with plastic limbs. Nowadays, plenty of 3rd party toys use die-cast successfully.

I am not going to suggest anyone try this with their figure because I would be afraid also but in the past when I had a tampo I wanted to get rid of I used a standard white eraser and it removed things with minimal damage.

The last time I used the trick was on the Wei Jiang RID Oversize Grimlock. It was tampo on paint and there was no ill effects. Although it was just black paint nothing fancy and weathered.

I have been pretty excited for this figure since Alpha Pack was released and I have to say, Spark Toys did a wonderful job of fixing the few flaws that Alpha Pack had. Sparticus tabs together well in both modes, has excellent joints and is rigid in all the right places. Paint is as good or better than Alpha Pack. The accessories are great, 3 Extra faces, Sword, Hand Gun, Cannon, Shield and working missile. Well done Spark Toys!

Sparticus is In Stock Now and Ready to Ship!

We also still have a few Alpha Pack Available if you missed out on that one.

there were no starscream repaints, there was only a remold into ramjet, but skywarp screamer and cracker were different "molds", skywarp had a remold into thrust and tc into dirge

I adore this figure, along with their Optimus. I hope they keep going and get more recognition as a producer of incredible quality figures, would love to see their take on some other styles too once WW is 'finished'.

I agree, a very good figure. I'm surprised that the thread is so inactive seeing this should be in hand for lots of people. Looking forward to more from Sparktoys.

Bloody hell this thing looks amazing, that's some of the best paint jobs I've seen on any Transformer. Can't wait for Steelock!

Still waiting for mine from Lunar Toy Store. First time ordering from them, but the pre-order was extra cheap.

Whilst it's definitely amusing from below, I do like how tightly the vehicle mode holds together once you lock it all in.

I think Figma might fit your need in the meantime.
