The only products shown so far appear to be custom boxes for Classics figures done in the style of the Takara TFC "book" reissues, complete with... Guidi art, I think. [EDIT: No, wait. Dan Khanna. At least for Bumblebee.] (Used COMPLETELY with permission, I'm sure.)

The website doesn't quite seem to be ready for prime (a-heh) time, despite the fact that they started teasing it with a few Twitter posts nearly 3 months ago. Stealing the art would be BS, way more direct infringement than anything most (cough igear) 3rd parties has done.

Didn't iGear use existing art for the promotional material and boxart for their seekers too?

 

I'd love to have these but not if they infringe on the TF artists I enjoy and respect. If it is announced to the contrary, count me in.

Thats pretty sweet, but it would drive me nuts like the encores did. (How should I display, how should I set these up?) Drove me bonkers.

I can see them being useful for moving or storage, or if you just plain wanted them. I like havin my stuff out for now though.

Here is another aspect though for example: I just got Streaker an Prowl MOSC, Id like to take them out, but dont feel like doing it right now, and once I do, that packaging is trash (to me). I could see some people diggin these boxes, but not for me.

Id probably keep G1s in boxes, and have classics out thats what I bought them for...

just a ramble, dont mind me, it is an awesome idea

If Hasbro wont get their thumbs out of their @ss and make it, then some one else will. Only problem for me are the prices but some people are willing to pay $50 for Insecticons and such.

That said...Step your game up Hasbro! You said The Universe line would continue but we're yet to see anything other than repaints of DOTM Bumblebee! Grrrrr....

 

I don't know why, but to me, it just seems like a scam of some sort. Call me cynical if you feel the need.

 

The website is hardly even set up, there's still placeholder content and default navigation items. I'd wait until they're more established to read anything into this.

First of all, this isn't a third party thing exactly - it's a group of people looking for official Hasbro backing.

It is re-releases and they are trying to get Ultra Magnus with an official trailer for us.

what this guy said I agree if it is a 3rd party & they did not get permission at all I will not buy if it is all stolen. to me it is just plain wrong geeze the things people do now these days to make a quick buck.I think i can also see these being banned from japan's shores as well. if they do not have permission.

1. Of course there's a market for G1...it's just not quite big enough for Hasbro to focus on it and still make a profit. They can do Classics because kids buy them too.

3. I take it you mean the Generations line, and yes that has been stated that it's continuing. I don't know what else you're getting at, because we're still waiting on images for upcoming DotM stuff, let alone Generations...and I don't recall very many Bumblebee redecoes having been announced other than the upcoming Cyberfire Deluxe redeco...have more popped up and I just missed that?
