Dark Helmet: "I am your father's older brother's former roommate."

Lone starr:"What does that make us?"

    Dark Helmet:"Absolutely Nothing!"

Just watching this movie and I wonder if there are any other fans of this hilarious Star Wars spoof.

This movie is just too funny.....

Not my favorite Mel Brooks film, but definitely in my top five.

If I had to rank em:
    1. Blazing Saddles
    2. Young Frankenstein
    3. The Producers
    4. Robin Hood Men in Tights
    5. Spaceballs

My favorite line is by Barf: "I'm a mog: half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend!"

Too bad Mel Brooks pissed on its fine memory with that horrendous abortion of a cartoon...

Wait, he aborted the cartoon? (as in he stopped it?) Thank goodness. I, too, found Spaceballs to be very funny, but that cartoon was bullcrap.

I just pretend that drivel never happened. It's not difficult when your mind has done its best to forget it ever saw it.... ;)
Spaceballs is a great movie; my second favourite Mel Brooks movie, after Blazing Saddles.

Agreed. With Gene Wilder, movies are always better.

Never saw the cartoon, so I can't say anything about it.

But yeah, Spaceballs is awesome. Back when I was in school we had an assignment to create a book cover based on a movie we liked. I chose Spaceballs. And I actually made the cover to look almost exactly like the original Star Wars poster, with Lone Starr as Luke, Vespa as Leia, Dark Helmet's highlights where Darth Vader's are... Whole thing.

I don't think I ever uploaded it to DeviantArt, but I should. When I get home. I'll post a link here.

Spaceballs was the first (but not the last) time Bill Pullman fought aliens.

I can't watch Blazing Saddles on AMC or any other network that has to edit. but BS is my favorite. Spaceballs falls to about 3rd on my list.

"...she's gone from suck to blow!" is my favorite spaceballs line.

    "It's a Transformer!" :D

"Say goodbye to your two best friends and I don't mean your pals in the Winnebago!"

Awesome, awesome movie. Definitely in my top 5 of all time :)

    Their was a Spaceballs cartoon?

For those of you that are thicker than the offspring of a TV weather girl and a village idiot, I did know about the cartoon but I was playing off Draven's post.
