Why is it that after all these years we haven't had a really good space shuttle TF.

I know there's a chance we'll be getting one for DOTM, but I'm not really a fan of the movie style figures. I may be old school, but I love the G1 style brickbots.

G1 Skylynx has an awesome shuttle mode but turns into a bird...
G1 Astrotrain has a good robot mode if you don't mind the stubby armsand too-long lower legs...

I'm kind of surprised that with all of the hoopla regarding the shuttles' retirement we don't have a MP figure by now...

    ...thoughts...?...

Armada Jetfire is a pretty decent space shuttle.

A badass looking one to boot. Shame his robot mode isn't quite up to the same standard. :(

I've been a huge shuttle fan since I was 5 and I'd love a realistic looking and really good transforming Space Shuttle toy. Of the toys that exist my favorite is Spay-C from the GoBots line. He looks pretty good in both modes but he has no articulation except the shoulders.

Except that it's not a space shuttle, it's a much smaller unmanned drone.

Micromaster Countdown (the big base). As well as a one of the combiner Micromasters and I think a minicon or two. There's really quite a few out there.

Galaxy Shuttle + G1 Countdown is a great combo if you're into shuttles. I have the Brave remold of Galaxy Shuttle (Thunder Dagwon) and it looks great with the base. The other shuttles everyone else has mentioned are all good as well (though I don't care for Armada or Energon Jetfire.)

You can get a Reprolabels' sticker set that turns him into a space shuttle.

G1 Blast-off, then all his many reuses through the years to the 2003 Universe Movor version of him.

    Classics/Henkei Astrotrain.

I'm dying to get the Botcon Astrotrain or the oversized Classics Astrotrain.

    I do like Powerlinx Jetfire.

Don't get me wrong... all of the ones mentioned are really good bots, but what I REALLY want is a bot that one that has an accurate shuttle mode.

G1 Blast-Off and Astrotrain were two of my faves as a kid and most of the newer stuff , while having incredible bot modes, have really taken some artistic liscense with the shuttle mode.

If one were to cross Sky-Lynx or Go-bot Spay-C with Galaxy Shuttle I think we'd have the perfect G1 Shuttle-bot.:2c:

Another vote for Spay-C from the Gobots line. People give those toys flack because they were competitors to Transformers, but some of them are pretty awesome. Spay-C is the best shuttle bot we've gotten, next to Astrotrain. I can forgive his shortcomings since he's a kick@$$ triplechanger.
