Just a heads up for you guys that McDonalds is offering a free Southern Chicken Sandwich with purchase of a medium or large drink today (5/15/08). I think it ends at 7:00pm so hurry! Because all TF Fans could stand greasing up their innards every once in a while. :lol

True, but for a somewhat-free sandwich, I'm not one to complain.

Good God, yes. Learned all about that after coming here from the West Coast, huh? Visit Jawja one day and you can check out The Dwarf House--restaurant-style Chik-fil-a.

And I was opening this thread was about McDonalds discontinuing their pale imitation of the OTCS*.

I dunno. I think even if it were free I wouldn't take it if it were from Whack Arnold's. :lol

Actually I found out about Chick-fil-A in California. My wife used to always tell me stories about their food. There was ONE store in the Bay Area. And it was 45 minutes away. I used to drive those 45 minutes just to quench my hankering for their nuggets, sandwich, and sweet tea. Ohhh the sweet tea. It's like crack it is. You could imagine my frustration when I drove those 45 minutes one Sunday only to find out they don't open on Sundays.

I also love Bojangles and would eat that over KFC and Popeye's anyday.

I had no idea that they'd made it out to CA. I'd bet it was an enthusiastic fan who figured it would do well.

They're around your area, but mostly in malls--at least when I lived there.

    You be trippin'. :p
Yeah, you could imagine my glee when I found out there was one in the Bay Area.

And yeah, most CFA's are in malls near DC. Free standing ones are further out. When we flew in from the Bay Area the first day we moved here, I had breakfast at a CFA near the Dulles Toll Road. :lol

Hell yeah, we have one here, in a mall of course. Right next to steak & potato. Good stuff.

Nothing beats home made fried chicken though

It's frustrating though. It seems that I always get a hankering for their sweet tea on Sundays.

I've never been to a CFA, am I missing out?

Nothing beats a Burger King Veggie Burger though... well, except maybe In-N-Out.

Thanks for sharing this, too! Free food is always a good thing. :lol

    CRAP.

    In-N-Out. I miss it so. :(

I could really use a double double with grilled onions, animal style fries, and a neopolitan shake right now. :cry

I'm going to CA this summer, and one of my top priorities is going to In-N-Out, as pathetic as that is. It's been 7 years. :(

    This is a cosmic constant.

We have a CFA w/ a breakfast buffet near me in Atlanta. At $8, you actually have to be pretty damn motivated to make it cost-effective, but if you're hungover and go later in the morning, it's doable.

CFA Bfast Buffet? Wow. That would rule, especially on those "morning afters". When I lived in H'ville, we had a Popeyes with a full buffett. Prowldelta probably knows about it.

As for the idea of buffet, it generally grosses me out. At Courtyard and Residence Inns, we had the full bfast buffets, and there is NOTHING appetizing about buffet eggs, IMO. Even though we changed them out every 15-30 minutes, depending on how busy it was. Bleck...

EDIT: I also really like their lemonade, although it is too sweet for me to order on my own.
