Ugh. What a mediocre to not very good episode. I think the only thing I even smiled at was the "oohs" at the end with the NFL with the volcano.
I've not seen the last episode that played last night but it's on the dvr. Wanted to see what everyone thought of the episode in this thread and if I was missing something. I think I'll check out the episode later today.
Cartman's influence over Heidi has led to some personality changes and not for the better. Even Cartman is taken aback by what he caused.
Oh, cool. Repercussions from last week's actions. Need to sit down and watch the new episode on Hulu when I'm not busy. Edit: Aaaaand... Cartman created a monster. Spoiler Mr.Mackey: Mr. Mackey: She's kind of like Cartman, but with the ability to follow through. PC Principle: Oh... dude... bro... Also, Cartman: You're being a bitch Heidi. Heidi: *inches from his face* Call me a bitch again. Best. Lines. Yet.
The episode was really good but you could see cartman was turning his gf into being just like him. The part where they said after awhile the couple turn out to being just like each other. Well that statement is so true in real life a lot of the times.
There is a certain amount of truth to this. The missus and I share a good amount of personality traits. Sad but funny seeing Heidi turn into a girl version of Cartman. Add one part horrendously unhealthy diet and one part the-abused-turned-abuser mentality, and you end up with a worse monster than even Cartman (Cartman himself was always coddled by his mom). I wonder how Heidi's parents reacted to their daughter's 180-degree turn to the dark side. That said, this episode had some chuckle-worthy moments but nothing was over the top hilarious (other than Heidi's change). I was expecting a bigger payoff with the water bears (now those are some cool creatures; science!) and the NFL owners. That story line kinda ran out of steam and fizzled, which is a shame since M&T made much more funny with the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, and the New England Patriots in the past.
Watching the episode "Jared Has Aides" in 2017 has me laughing even harder now that he's being investigated as an accessory to a pedophile ring.
Caught the tail-end of season twenty last night. Easily my favorite part was seeing Sheila Broflovski get thirty-eight flavors of PISSED at Kyle and Ike.
I guess I'll have to source Episodes five and six of season fourteen ("200" and "201", respectively) elsewhere since they've been pulled from everywhere except the DVD
Watched the latest episode of South Park and... wow. President Garrison nuked Canada... and it's all Kyle's fault. He decided to start an activist group and like his mom went too far. Yikes. Only one more episode to the season too. Wonder how they're going to resolve this?
Yeah, I missed those when they originally aired, but my Blu-Ray copies for the season have then unedited. Which was better anyways since Comedy Central let terrorist threats sway them into censoring the episodes when they originally aired before pulling them from everywhere.
I find the whole thing ridiculously ironic given it mirrors the events of two previous episodes of South Park, "Cartoon Wars" parts one and two. It's one of those moments where I'd expect General Disarray to hit up the terrorists and say "South Park Did It!"
