    Hate to break it to you, but I have the feeling that Michael Bay will not have Frank Welker play Megatron; that falls to Hugo Weaving. You might just be lucky if Welker plays Soundwave.

    Frank Welker has to be Soundwave. I mean he is the original and best voice for Soundwave.

    I'm sorry to say, but I have to agree. Bay will not use Welker for Megatron again. But he might use Welker for Soundwave.

    I know some fans will hate me for this, but Frank cant be the new movie Megatron. His voice dosent fit movie Megs, it`s kinda like the fact you couldent keep him as a gun. I mean he can voice him in game, prequel, whatever but not in the movie.
    Trust me, majority of everyone I know (not just fans), loved Hugo Weaving as Megs (including myself), yes most had heard Welker voice Megatron before. Some will be p***ed with me for this, but... I perfer Hugo as movie Megatron.
    I mean sure, I`m all for Frank to voice movie Soundwave, but no, not movie Megatron.

    Agreed, Welker just doesn't fit the role. Not only does the new look not go with the G1 voice, his voice has gotten rusty over the years and now he just sounds like a cranky old man trying to sound evil.

    I can't agree. He sounded good in the phone interview he did a while back, better than in the tie-in game in fact.

    Frank Welker is my first choice. But, they'll probably choose a British Actor to do it.

    THIS is the only real alternative to Welker. Because it's NOT just the Vocoder, it's the ability to do the Dr. Claw effect with your OWN throat, in MONOTONE, that makes Soundwave.

    So I say Welker, or Mister Gone :D

    Well your topic said "Poll" and you can post an actual poll with choices on which voice actor's name to get a feel for who people want to see as Soundwave.
