just been putting a few things together.. a large amount of protoforms hitting the aircraft carrier, with it looking like ravage being one of them another large amount of protoforms all hitting the pyramids together his ship / satellite alt modes reports that soundwave is some kind of priest of the fallen and has been off looking for him toyfair reports that his choice of alt mode was down to compromises between the script's needs and hasbro's toy needs some 'insider' saying that soundwave would be too huge to have an earth alt all this is pointing me towards the following... that soundwave is in fact a HUGE nemesis style ship that has been cruising around the galaxy with his own private army looking for the fallen. he has now ended up at earth, and launches this private army to two locations, the ocean to retrieve megatron, and the pyramids to retrieve the fallen. the blue discs on him are in fact launch pods containing protoforms, his 'missile' certainly looks like a tiny protoform. i might be putting 2 and 2 together to make 5, and also obviously this would contradict soundwave being an appropriate size to pick up dreadwing's head in the prequel comic, but then again, according to the prequel comic bludgeon is in fact wreckage, so it's hardly canon..
I read somewhere that Scorpinok is the one that steals Megatrons body from the military. I think it was a synopsis of the movie on some site. But the 2 teams makes sense.

Sounds like it could all be true. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. All i know is that Soundwave is gonna kick some serious Autobot ass.
The priest bit comes from the leaked treatment that Orci, Kurtzman and Kruger probably didn't write, but from the May 2007 pitches Paramount rejected. However, Alliance does state Soundwave's been missing, presumed dead... He only appears in silhouette in the comic, maybe this will extend to the film showing his Cybertronian form. Optimus' and Starscream's protoforms were inventions of Hasbro, and the Soundwave protoform has an abdomen resembling a truck grill. Yes, an insider who claimed Megatron would certainly not return to claw Sam... For the record, I believe Soundwave used his satellite capabilities to direct the Decepticon strike on Earth. And that he will come to Earth and become a truck. Not a pick-up truck, like the rejected concept art, but still a black one that will result in an robot mode with blue baubles.

Would make sense. Also heard he'd be one of those heavy duty GMC trucks, the ones with the dual tires on the rear. Would sorta make sense, being an inconspicuous vehicle. Y'know- instead of "hey look at that model of car that's not even out yet with its neon paint"
I like the ship idea along with him sending off protoforms to search for megatron and the fallen, from the looks of it though soundwave is pretty small compared to the other deluxe figures which I'm not to happy about. Hopefully if he does have an earth form there's a toy made for it along with a voyager class soundwave.
