I'm working on an experiment with Soundwave. I know that without his vocal his voice is deep and scary. So far I know that Frank Welker used the same deep voice for these characters:

    Dr. Claw/ Inspector Gadget
    Krulos/ Dino-Riders
    Cave of Wonders/ Aladdin
    Dai Gui/ Jackie Chan Adventures

Anyone I'm missing? Post Name of character and what tv show please.

You planning on some audio-processing experiments?

Probably not what you're looking for, but ROTF Soundwave wasn't processed G1-style, so it came off very Dr. Claw-like.

Let me guess, you're going to put the voices he did in the shows you listed through a vocoder and see if they come out like Soundwave?

Darkseid was in The Super Friends? Man that was either awesome or terrible, or both. I only ever saw a few episodes of that tragic show. XD

I think Darkseid didn't show up until the show changed its name to The Super Powers Team in the late 80s. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, he showed up when it was Super Powers, to coincide with the figures that I believe Kenner put out. You squeezed the legs and their arms would move. Didn't know Welker did Darkseid. Interesting.

Frank Welker's voice was the "Devil" in the movie The Golden Child.

He used the Dr. Claw voice as Malebolgia (the Devil) in the movie "Spawn." I can't say it's a movie Frank would be proud of, but his voice-acting was decent.

This might be nit-picking, but I would argue that the Cave of Wonders is not the Dr. Claw voice. It's Dr. Claw-like, but it's slower, has a lisp, and has kind of a raspy feeling like Chris Latta's Cobra Commander voice.

Welker also did Kalibak in the same series, with a different delivery.

Also, if you go way back, in Robotman and Friends he basically did both his Megatron and Rumble deliveries for the evil duo Roberon and Sound-Off.

    YouTube - Robotman & Friends Part 5

From about 10-40 seconds in. Listen to both of the bad guys down in the canyon. It's pretty much identical, just with more flanging and reverb.

YouTube - Krusty: What the hell was that?

    Seriously.

As for stuff Frank Welker did, you'd be better off trying to find an 80's cartoon series he didn't do. Laughably his CEO Plotz (Animaniacs) is his Galvatron voice, but to the point, Dark Dweller from Pirates of Dark Water if I'm not mistaken was also the low rumble voice.

His Dr.Claw/ROTF Soundwave voice always struck me as being perfect for G1 Scorponok. Whenever I read the Marvel comics, I always imagine that's what Scorponok sounds like.

Even in the Ladybird book, Autobot Hostage, they gave Scorponok a very similar voice.
