    Soundwave -- Final

I have more extensive mods, but wanted to throw up a
shot of the head I resculpted yesterday. Started with
a Cybertron Soundwave head but wanted him more G1-like
so I added more of a faceplate and a taller crown.

I haven't decided yet if final paint will be more like
Soundblaster / "New Soundwave" or just classics
Soundwave. I'm leaning toward Soundblaster IF I can
find the WFC Soundwave at retail, that way I can have
both (and my custom is a bit bigger, so it will seem like
    an upgrade)

    EDIT: Final paint, pending critique:

I think you're on to something here. The lower half looks smaller than the upper half though.

I like the concept. The head sculpting looks pretty good but it seems a tad big to me.

Soundwave is looking good from the knees up. He needs larger, more powerful looking lower legs such as the ones you'd find on Universe Dropshot.

looking pretty good so far but as some have said, head seems a little big/fat,but not much, lower legs could use a little bulk but again not much, really those are just being nit picky, keep it up man. I'd like to see more done on this one(as soundwave is my FAVORITE)

    Thanks!
I might shorten his upper arms a bit... I had longer legs for him at some point but they were "wobbly". Plus now he's about the right height for deluxe size --- I'm trying to bring all my classics/universe etc figures to deluxe size. He's just a smidge taller than my deluxe size Megatron (not pictured yet)

Maybe I can also move his feet so that they're under him (think rocket boosters) and give him different feet.

BTW, I got rid of that annoying cyberkey gimmick. I didn't photo him from the back but basically there's a tab there to lift and his chest still opens.
He still transforms to "tape deck' mode but it's not quite as clean as the original G1 figure.

Oh. You're going for a deluxe scale. I think since the top half comes from a voyager figure you should get voyager legs. That said, I think the update looks better.

Can you pose him with another deluxe figure?

VERY cool. Very simple transformations. I like. Seems like THIS is what the Titanium Soundwave should have been like.

The only critique I have is the white on the legs. White is hard to paint but if your could make them cleaner, it would look nicer.

Oh, and if you have another deluxe figure it would be cool to see him next to Starscream or the deluxe Megatron if you have them.
