Hold down the play/pause button for two seconds to turn him on.

Press Play/Pause while playing to pause the track, press again to unpause.

The "double arrowhead" buttons are skip forward/skip backward, moving one track per press.

    The Up/Down buttons control volume.

To turn him off, press the Play/Pause button for 2 seconds or longer again, and he will turn off when you let go of the button.

Nope. He has no internal memory, only the card slot.

I suspect the expandable-only memory was done so they wouldn't have to design a USB port into him, hehe.

Thanks, oh well, I bought it more for the toy not the MP3 player. I like Soundwave that much and had $100 to throw away :lol

I can always use my PS3 to transfer music onto the SD card.

As long as your Mini-SD card came with the Mini-SD to SD card adaptor, as most of them do, yes.

An SD reader for the PC though, can cost as little as $5.

I've been wanting to get one, but I have a couple questions about the mp3 interface. Is there any way at all to create a playlist? Even if it means adding songs to the SD card one at a time in the order you want, I'd like to have some control over it. If not, does it just sort all the songs on the card randomly each time you turn it on?

Also, how's the audio quality? I'd probably be using my own set of headphones rather than Rumble & Frenzy, so I'm really just curious about Soundwave's output. Is he actually a pretty decent mp3 player, or just a toy with novelty electronics?

I'm curious about this, too. Is it in alphanumeric order according to the file names, or random, or something else entirely?

As far as I've heard, it's by the order in which songs are loaded onto the card. Gotta check it out myself, still.

I finally got all my songs converted to MP3s that I wanted it on there, but I did notice they weren't playing in the order I had them set in when I changed all the names of the songs. Might of happened during conversion because they are only so many at a time for converting. Now either there is a feature to activate random lol...or I gotta wipe the card and read them in the letter/numerical order. Have to test it again lol! Because I can't read the features, I am curious if it is to a random feature, but they play in a wierd order for it to be random. So I do believe it is in the appropriate order of putting them on the card.

EDIT: I can confirm it is order you put on card. I had to clear my card and relist it to get proper order.

I know this is an odd question, but I think I have seen that background before. Is background from a Radio Controlled Dalek box? If so, then I might start using mine as a background, since it looks nice.

Well, anyways, I ordered mine 2 days ago, and now I'm waiting for ole' Soundwave to appear at my front door.
