Is he actually seeing them on the shelves?
I have a friend that lives over there and was going to hook me up with FE figures, until the "Not sold in the US" announcement was made and the shelves were cleared almost overnight by those wanting to turn a profit.

Well, 33$ is better than 50$-100$, I must say.

it's not so much the cost there (although they are hella expensive over there) that is making these expensive but the import costs to bring them to north america. anything that has that hasbro stamp is gonna get hit by duties hard (I have a friend that was also doing this and his profits on has/tak products were much, much lower than profit from non-american company products like maketoys). Shipping is killer too and works out to about 10-15 per toy even in large shipments.

Basically it wasnt worth his time to do has/tak stuff as he ended up having to charge "ebay prices" to make any kind of profit at all

I suppose I would be down for a Que. Considering that is the only one I haven't found at a worthy enough price.

I have serious doubts that he'll be able to find anything. They've been sold out for ages.

Soundwave's readily available from the Hasbro Asia assortments, but the Takara release is long gone.
