So I was looking on amazon for the Transformers soundtrack (the score, not that other crappy one lol) and it said something like "This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer". What gives?
Easy. It's a film score not by John Williams so they didn't bother making many copies. Film scores don't attract much attention or sales so they are typically produced in low numbers, though the TF score unexpectedly (at least to Warners) sold out. I'd say it was the big score hit of 2007.
Was it ever even sold in stores? I bought mine off of Wal-Mart.com; never saw it in stores anywhere, though.
I "acquired" it online. Never saw it in a store, although i heard reports from my area that it was in a couple stores.
Oh I didn't know that, thanks for the info. But yeah I just checked on iTunes and they have it. I guess I could get it from there, even though I prefer to have the actual CD. lol
I had to go to a local Mom & Pop music store to find a copy, and that was on the day it came out. Nowadays finding a physical copy is quite a feat. You can get the digital version on Itunes for 17 bucks, but if you really need a sealed CD, you could try Ebay, but it's gonna run 50-80 dollars.
It was a limited run so it was hard to find, I actually got extremely lucky and found a physical copy wile visiting a friend in Kansas City at Barnes and Noble. You can get it off eBay but it runs for an excess of $50+ now.
I hear someone made a petition to get it re-released in stores. At least, according to Wikipedia.org (who forgot to include the link after mentioning it).
yes it was in stores had to get the last copy on the day of its release at record theater. few days later i saw the scor at besy buy in sotck on the shelves try ebay if no one is asking for a rpi off starting price for the cd. becarfeul with itunes if buy the cd and your computer crashes with you even burning the music to the cd you will have to buy the entire cd all over again from itunes if you did not back it up after deletion
