In the season finale arachnid asks "you have something to say soundwave" and theres been at least two fan artworks where soundwave takes his screen off and reveals a face underneath, how many of you think soundwave will eventually talk, reveal he actually has a face, or both? Explain how you wanna see them write that into the show

 

i dont wanna see a face, that would be weird at this point but i do wanna hear him speak, almost like his animated or cybertron versions

 

Keep him silent. Makes him spookier.

 

Far as I'm concerned, his screen IS his face. And the only way I'd be behind him speaking would be if sounds like the Reaper Sovereign from Mass Effect.

Exactly how i feel! Although i'd also pine for soundwaves WFC voice or that one its a tough choice, i'd also like to see more minicons besides laserbeak like maybe ravage or ratbat, just one minion for soundwave is dumb cause all his minions are what hes mostly known for

 

I hope he never gets a face and never talks. He's fine as is is. The mystery is far more interesting than any overly-processed stupid voice.

 

I just hope it's not the G1 voice.

 

I'm fine with him keeping the screen-face. As for speaking, IIRC it's been stated that Soundwave will be speaking with his own voice at some point during Season Two.

 

Soundwave's face is fine as it is. Why would he need a "real" one?

 

Apparently, he did have a face and a voice at one point according to Titan comics.  

As for hearing him talk in future, maybe a one-word utterrance could be cool.

 

A pretty generic looking face, if I say so myself.

To me, a one-liner would be kinda useless, but cool. Maybe muttering "Superior" after throwing an Autobot down.

 

I think the face bit in the titan comics has since been said to be a mistake on the inker/colourists parts. They mistook the shaping of the line work meant to be the usual display/visualization lines for a face.

Personally like Soundwave as the silent, faceless creeper. If he is to speak I hope his voice suits his look and 'personality'.

 

YEESSSSS. Make him silent for the whole series and have him talk at the most dramatic point possible...

But yeah, if he talks it needs to be the Sovereign voice whispering. Too perfect.

I think a quieter version of his DOTM voice would be perfect, especially if he turned around and got a zoom in on his "face".

 

As others have said, his screen is his face. No need for eyes, lips, moving mouth, etc. However, I trust the show writers and animators to make it interesting if a face is revealed eventually. Honestly, I'd not even contemplated this until now, and I'm not much concerned either way.

 

Interestingly enough Peter Jessop was also the ROTF game Soudnwave.

The screen is his face, and I love the spooky vibe he has, and him talking only a little bit would be perfect.

If he says "Autobots inferior, Decepticons superior", I will lose it!

 

Agreeing with Tikin about a subdued voice for Soundwave as opposed to his G1 modified voice.

I kinda like the idea of Soundwave having given up his face and voice, the markers of his individual identity, in dedication to Megatron and the Decepticons. I wouldn't mind a flashback revealing how he once possessed a face and a voice in his pre-war past. He could have made a conscious decision at the start of the war to remove and reconfigure his face into a screen and not to speak when he pledged loyalty to Megatron. Kinda like how G1 Soundwave supposedly deleted his emotions in order to process more data. He gives up something important in service to Megatron.
