Customs: SOS Painting rubber parts

    Okay I know that this question was asked at one time I can't find it any where. How the heck do you paint the rubber nosecone of the skywarp/starscream classics? I have tried Testor and Kustom Kolor without any luck, they never dry. Even after several days they are still tacky.

    I'm using Tamiya and it dried within 20 minutes.

    Yeah Tamiya Flat black. Acrylics will dry on rubber no problem.

    testors makes acryllics too. or you can dye them.

    Chris Morada told me that fusion will dry ok on these softer plastics. I usually use acrylic primer, then paint the enamels over that.

    What was weird is that I did the same technique on my Acid Storm and Universe Starscream but the paint was tacky on Acid Storm but fine on Starscream. I just used Krylon flat black and then drybrushed my colors over it.

    Just use regular Tamiya acrylic ,paint brush it and let dry.

    I said screw it and replaced the nosecone with mighty putty then sanded it down.
