I have to do a presentation tomorrow on trademark law and how it relates to video games. This is absolutely perfect!

I saw that on Tv a while back and wondered how he was getting away with selling Wii's. But it can probably be argued that he's selling tires and Bridgestone is giving away the Wii's.

This is ******ed. If anything, all it's probably doing other than to remind people that tires don't last forever is helping to get the character over, and by extension sell more Sony products as a result because that's the brand he's tied to.

However, that's pretty much how corporations roll.

Meh whatever, it is what it is. We don't know the details of what went on, so there could be any numerous reasons. It could be that the actor is under a Sony contract and Bridgestone did not tell him it would have the Wii in the commercial. It could be he did not know he was under contract and Bridgestone did not want to look into it. There are too many variables Sony is still the best video game company out there, and this serves nothing to their games and systems as far as I am concerned.
