Any fans of this awesome short lived animated show? i am, i've always been a fan of Sonic since i got my Genesis for christmas at 11 with Sonic 1 & 2 and been buying the comics since the first issue.

I watched this show every saturday morning when i was 12 and loved it. Kind of reminds me of a fusion of Star Wars, He-Man, She-Ra and Thundercats blended together with good stories, drama, some comedy, action and all that as it built up a huge fanbase.

Yo! My Bros, my cous and some of my old friends from school:)

It's sad Mr. Hurst, the writer for all 3 American Sonic series, went on that fools errand on Sonic Underground. He should had pushed harder for Season 3.

With him now gone, that great series will never get second chance:(

Heheh, yeah I remember this one all right; this is what introduced me to Sonic in the first place. While I may have some issues with the show, it still has a special place in my heart as it was one of my first cartoons.

Yeah, it especially makes my blood boil after I read about how Ken Penders royally screwed his efforts to get this series renewed. Oh well, there are those rumors about a new Sonic show in the works...

So would the new Sonic series be an anime or made in north america?

I only ask since the current voice actors are all mainly anime based though they have been slowly appear in more cartoons.

I dunno, maybe it would be a mixture of both--similar to the Avatar series.

If they make a new cartoon. Derrick J. Wyatt should design it.

Back in April, there was this rumor about Sega rebooting the Sonic franchise (I believed it at the time because of the difficulties Sega was going through). Since then it may have have been debunked to be nothing but just a rumor, however the details were rather interesting. Check it out:

Possible Sonic reboot in 2014, would be open world - NeoGAF

Should they keep the current voice actors for Sonic like Roger Craig Smith as Sonic?

I love this show, such a shame the 3rd season never came to life..

    Anyone know why that was?

I thought SATAM was excellent, especially when compared to that headache inducing Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog that was just plain awful.

It was the perfect blend of action, character devolpment and dark story telling.

I have no doubt that Pollock isn't going anywhere, but they should definitely keep Smith; the guy is seriously a breath of fresh air after years of having to endure Griffith.

Hey now be nice, AoSTH was awesome in its own respects (I used to watch it as frequently as SATAM). Besides you have to admit, it was way better in comparison to Underground. :lol

Yes maybe he could play Sonic.

I agree and i dunno why DiC had to make two sonic cartoons at the same time, it's similar to how 1986 had 2 Ghostbusters cartoons, remember the Filmation one?

That don't make sense it is around the same time as Batman TAS as TAS was still on the air on Fox from 92 till 95 before moving to WB while this was on ABC for 2 seasons, i wish we had that third season.

Anyone else agrees this show is similar to He-Man and She-Ra only with anthro characters? even the producers of those 2 shows did this and the Swatbots are much similar to Hordak's Horde-Troops.

Any guys here thought Sally Acorn was cute for an alien squirrel chick? i do since i was 12 and i had a crush on her, she walked around nude all the time despite wearing a vest in the second season but damn man, LOL.
