To say that in my personal humble opinion I'm enjoying this more than that last two Mario Kart entries is a big thing, because I love MK. The reviews have been kind to this game too.

I want more Sega Characters, Dammit. Where's Space Harrier, and where the hell is the After Burner F14... He should be be a character....Driving a Kart.

 

Sega did say if the game does well then we can expect some DLC in the future.

 

They gots my support. So what time do you guys play on Tuesdays?

edit: Actually they are hella getting my support. My fiance is buying a copy for PS3 so she can play in her system while we go mad on Live.

I've been racking up the achievemet points I think i've currently got 370/1000, which i'm quite impressed with as i've not even had it a full day yet. Looking forward to the DLC. Toejam and Earl anyone?

 

This game is awesome. Definitely a joy to finally have a Mario Kart type game for a guy who doesn't own a Nintendo product.

Just bought the last copy from the only Gamestop I still respect. Finishing up Assassin's Creed II and then it's on to the racetrack.

 

We now have two copies of this game, lol. Hear that Sega? I want my Thunder Blade unlockable character!

I got my copy today, but can't play it until tomorrow. Congrads to all you guys at Sumo, I haven't been this excited about a game since I dunno when!

 

Dunno mate, all depends on Sony and Microsoft at this point.

Yeah definitely, but my internet has been bit slow lately, but hopefully it will be back to normal tomorrow!

 

Grabbed it tonight with the last of my "you should be saving this because you do not have a job" money. Have had a blast playing with my nephew for the past few hours. He seems to have grown bored with it but thats typical for him, he would rather run into the track obstacles (zombies etc) instead of racing.

He got the turbo start down and I still can't figure it out.

 

The turbo starts are unique to each racer. Took me forever to figure that out. Before the race starts, as soon as you see your character, hold down the gas. The exhaust should "sputter" for a little bit and then really kick in after a second or so. The goal is to have it kick in right at "GO!"

For example, with Sonic start holding the gas right at the count of 2.

 

Tell you buddies that the beginning of each race, when you see all the flashes of combusting engines (like flashes from cameras) is the coolest shit ever.

 

Ordered my copy today, hopefully it'll be here Tuesday.
