No, nor do I plan to. I despise the genre, why would want to?

This list could go on a while.
    Almost every rap/hip hop song.
Anything by Justin Beiber and most Disney stars.
    Souja Boy
Anything by Lady Ga Ga excluding Pokerface.

These peeps are trying to "broaden" your taste. Even in music fanboys exists. It's either that or they think that spewing every PC after schoolesque message makes them sleep better at night.

The thread title is there they should just read it. Superman doesn't exist but no one here needs to put a cape to save someone...

I'm generally right there with you, but I do like some of the artists you mentioned in your previous post. There is a subgenre known as country rock which tends to sound more rock than country and that's usually the closest I get to actual country. Now the really twangy shit? Ah yeah no.

I've just realised I only listen to movie soundtracks and "joke" songs (Weird Al, Toby Turner, The Muppets and Brentalfloss.) and maybe songs from Video games.

Wow, I'm...a little intimidated by this overwhelmingly universal dislike for rap and hip hop.
I do like rap and mainstream stuff, but some of the newer stuff coming out just makes my ears vomit sometimes.

    -Five O'clock in the Morning
    -Moves Like Jagger
    -I Can Make Your BedRock
-The Motto(I'm so annoyed with this YOLO crap that's been spreading around school.)
    -Sexy and I Know it

"You a stupid hoe" - Nicky Minaj.

    Hate, hate HATE.

What´s sad, is that Nicky is not that bad when doing normal stuff like the song she did with David Guetta. It´s nothing extraordinary, but it´s not bad.

Rap and most hip hop. Ugh.

And for those saying anything after 2000 is not music...really? There's not a SINGLE song from the last decade that you like? I find that ridiculously hard to believe. There's plenty of good music that's been released since 2000. You're all clearly looking in the wrong places.

I think the people who say there has been no good music since 2000 are missing something. They only listen to top 40 radio stations...Look around, there is AWESOME music being made today, just not anything you'll find on top 40 type stations...

I really don't like the messages in Eminem's music.

    I really, really don't like Eminem's music.

EDIT: Just an FYI, there is good stuff in the top forty. You just gotta pull the stick out of your underground behinds, and acknowledge that some songs are popular for a reason.

If I had to pick individual ones?

    Hmmmmm.....

There's just too many. I hate entire genres aside from a few selections here and there.

    Eminem makes music?!!? :D

I'm okay with a lot of music in how it sounds, but lyrics are really what can break a song for me. If it's about mindless partying and whatnot, then I can't get behind that, no matter how good it may sound. The rare cases in which I can't stand music with thought-out lyrics is stuff like Queen, which I just find grating to listen to.

Ummm, they're popular because record companies pay radio stations to play a song over and over in the hopes that people would buy the whole album. At least that's how it used to be before itunes. But to think songs are popular because so many people liking them is like the tail wagging the dog, it's just not true.

If that was directed at me...I agree...there is good stuff in top 40...my point was that if you only listen to one type of radio station (which is typically top 40/mainstream/whatever), you miss out on a lot of other types of music...and I also agree on 'underground' snobbery. I knew a guy who loved bands until people heard of them, then he vehemently denied EVER liking them..

That's weird, maybe your radio station runs things differently? My local station plays listener requests.
