Alright, I'll show my sensitive side - but just this once! 1. "The Rose" - Bette Midler. It's a sad song anyway, but they played this at my Grandfather's funeral, so whenever I hear it I think of him. 2. "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" - Roberta Flack. This is a really pretty love song, and was my parent's song. You know, "their song". But, they had a messy divorce when I was a teenager, so it really bums me out when I hear it. Ok, now I'm depressed....lol.
No tears shed, but I get melancholy when I hear "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche. Too many wonderful memories never to be relived. "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails is another one that makes me think. Never about good things, either. Slipnot's "Duality" was the theme of a bad time in my life, so that one always makes me remember depressing stuff, like why the first one will never have the same meaning for me.
"The Book of Love" - From the Scrubs series finale (I refuse to believe they made more seasons after that).
Only one: Alter Bridge - In Loving Memory (With Lyrics) - YouTube This song makes me bawl every damn time.
Doesn't exactly make me cry, but it puts me in a mood close to it for the sheer beauty of the music. Gundam Seed Ost 1st ending piano - YouTube Also the song 'Tears' from Gundam seed as well, ironic :|
Those Nights - Skillet: A friend of mine showed me this song, and it fit us so well. Then she decided that I wasn't enough for her and now the song makes me cry...
Lady Antebellum - When You Got A Good Thing "Excellent Audio 5.1 Dolby Digital in HD" - YouTube My wedding song. Hits me everytime I hear it!
The touch probably because it makes me remember how many tears I sheaded when I saw prime die Arrival to Earth The full TFP theme song The song from toy story that gose "You got a friend in me " and the one from toy story 2 when Jessie is remembering the girl that gose "When she loved me" i suposse it would be wrong for me say that the starwars them song makes me well up
Never actually cried to a song itself, but certains songs that get me *right there* Fleetwood Mac's Landslide, the live version in particular The Johnny Cash cover of NIN's Hurt Married Life from the Up soundtrack. That scene gets my every time, and Michael Giacchino's score is a big reason why the waterworks get going. Not me, but on the ride home after putting her dog down, a friend of mine heard Sarah McLachlan's Angel on the radio. Needless to say that song's now an even bigger downer for her.
First Contact - YouTube This may be a weird piece of music to consider "emotional", but it has just such a beautiful tune that I just find so amazing and heartfelt.
If We Hold On Together - Diana Ross [Land Before Time] - YouTube This one does a pretty good number on me, especially after I read the story of Judith Barsi who played Ducky...... Gladiator - Now We Are Free Music Video - YouTube This is arguably the best part of the three part movement; Elysium-Honor Him-Now We Are Free. Although the whole thing is wonderful, this is the best part.
^ I'd agree. That theme from Gladiator makes me tear up when I hear it. Lol, it can be heard with anything and it still has the same effect, like Olympic/sport montages. I'd also say the ending of the Dark Knight is really, really powerful. Not necessarily tear inducing, but definitely feels powerful. Plenty others to choose from, but these 2 I've seen recently.
"Jar of Hearts" by Christina Peri, for... personal reasons... "Lily's Theme", from the final Harry Potter movie's soundtrack. "Obliviate", from the seventh Harry Potter movie. If you've seen the scene that goes with it you'll know why. "No Prisoners, Only Trophies" from, of course, Dark of the Moon. "Bumblebee Captured", from the 2007 movie. I have a couple, so if I think of more I'll post them...
J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers - Last Kiss - YouTube Last Kiss by J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers, The original version never heard Pearl Jam's cover version and have no desire to. Teen angel by Mark Dinning Teen Angel-Mark Dinning-original song-1960 - YouTube Both make me cry buckets.
Fade to Black by Metallica is really the only song that has ever made me cry, but that was years ago. There are songs that do hit me, but don't make me cry. Good stuff here. Hans Zimmer - A Small Measure of Peace - YouTube Pictures of you - The Cure (Lyrics) - YouTube Bush - Out Of This World (with lyrics) - YouTube Alice in Chains- Nutshell (lyrics) - YouTube Radiohead - How to disappear completely + lyrics - YouTube
