YouTube - Survivor Burning Heart with lyrics

    thoughts?

i actually think the song does a reasonable job of summing up in some part the struggle the community has experineced over the years in its fight for equal rights

I think you're connecting two dots that have no real connection. Anyone can find meaning for anything in their own personal life through a song.

But don't get me started on "gay rights" ... I give this thread like an hour before it dies with something insulting/close-worthy.

If Burning Heart from Rocky IV is applicable, then by your standards any song about struggle or conflict is going to be applicable.

Me, I would have gone for Love is a Battlefield, or maybe, you know, one of the many songs out there about the gay communities struggle for equal rights.

Other possibilities: The Times They Are a Changing (Bob Dylan), Power of Love (Huey Louis and the News), Sensual Seduction (Snoop Dogg)

    "The Touch" could also work.

Bingo. Given that this song was used in Rocky IV, it backs up what Kickback said.

We also used this song as part of a mix tape used between innings of home games for high school baseball.

Using Rocky IV as a standard, can't wait to see what "Hearts on Fire" is used as an anthem for.

    :lol

Hearts on Fire would actually make a lot better anthem than Burning Heart. I wonder why he chose the blatantly nationalistic plot exposition of a song rather than that one.

I also feel "No Easy Way Out" is an accurate metaphor for many of the painful feelings in the gay community.

I thought being gay did'nt need any defending these days, it was all pretty much accepted in the 90's and by 2000 about half the world was gay.
Now I prefer my women to have some bisexual in them. Waiting to have sex until your married is wierd.

    1990
    Lisa- "I kissed a girl"
Jennifer '"you did what!? OMG OMG"

    2000
    Lisa - "I kissed a girl"
Jennifer "So, I did anal with Tammy"
    Lisa - "Me too!"

We've got 12 minutes as of this post to see if Kickback's prediction comes true. My bet's on an hour and a half.
