I went to my car this morning, and my ashtray was gone. My ashtray. Someone stole my fucking ashtray.

No windows were smashed (I had left one slightly open). Nothing else was stolen (not the DVD's in the back, not the sunglasses in the console, not my work ID's). No signs that anything else was even searched. But the ashtray? Gone.

They took my ashtray, and the approx. $1.75 it contained. Didn't even bother to dump the change and toss the empty ashtray back on the seat.

    WTF

That's random as hell. A friend of mine said someone broke into their car once and stole nothing but a magazine. They left CDs, CD player, money, etc. They just wanted the fucking magazine.

    People are insane

I noticed yesterday my license plate was stolen. Not sure when it happened, couldn't have been too long since I assumed a cop would pull me over if he saw that.

During baseball season my sophomore year of high school, I had someone steal my protective cup from my gym locker. Not the strap, just the cup.

Yeah, being a catcher that day at practice was a bit, er, dodgy.

My stereo was stolen about a year and a half ago. I haven't bothered to replace it.

The empty compartments in my dash are starting to build up :(

Better keep an eye on that cup holder.

You need an anti-theft alarm, this is getting rediculous.

Maybe it was a theif n00b who was looking for your stereo, and forgot to look inside first. Not wanting to leave empty handed he took the ash tray.

    Or it was Kickback.

Maybe its the same crooks as before- they plan to steal your whole car, one piece at a time, over the course of fifty or sixty years?

That happened to my dad. He went in to return some movies and came out and it was gone.

It was in the same place holding his pennies, paper clips and Halls medicine for months.

Theif was probably feinin for some smokes and didnt have time to pawn your stuff.

Someone did that to me a few years ago while I was at work. There was alot more that they could have easily gotten. I have a Jeep, which had the soft top on. I have 2 tens in the back in a custom built speaker box. Paid about $200 for them. The back door was unlocked so all they had to do is open the door and grab them. But instead, all they got was my ashtray with pennies in it. Even better was the fact that I was a security guard and my own vehicle gets broken in to. Probably would have made everyone else feel really safe :lol
