Packaging is pretty much the same as the upcoming Transformers Classics packaging.

The pallet does look a lot like the Titanium, it is bigger, and it has the ability to say different phrases (but not Cullen's voice :( )

If they were to use Cullen's voice, wouldn't they have to pay a royalty to Cullen and/or whoever owns the rights to the episodes/movie that the clips were pulled from? I'm thinking that could be expensive.

Yes, I know that Gary Chalk's voice WAS used for Air Attack Optimus Primal, and I have no idea what kind of arrangement was made to have that happen. But I'm pretty sure that Hasbro would have LIKED to use Cullen's voice, but had good reasons for not doing so. They're not reading this thread right now and saying, "Oh snap, why didn't we think of that?"

I'm probably not picking up the re-release, but I hope that the voice sounds decently Prime-like anyways.

Yep, I've already got the first 20th Anniversary Prime, a Peter Cullen voiced pallet thing would have been one of the few things to make me buy it.

I know for sure that Hasbro were looking for recordings of Optimus Prime phrases said by Peter Cullen a while back. Now I know what it was for.

But it appears that for whatever reason, it wasn't possible, so please don't blame Hasbro; they tried.

But...we always blame Hasbro. What are we going to do now? :)

I wonder how much they'll want for just the pallet? I have a bit of space in my garage.

I will be getting the OP re-release.I don't care if hes $100,nothing
will keep me from getting him,I missed my chance the first time.I
also think this Prime is even better than the first release one, with
    long stacks,no battle damage,and a voice base.So I say bring on
    the Prime.

Well if I can't blame hasbro, I need a semi-logical way to blame Takara. It is one of the other, always.

My G2 Prime sounded like someone was saying "I AM OPTIMUS PRIME"... while holding their tongue.

Then of course there's Armada... "MEGATRON...ATTACK!" or the funniest... "RED ALERT! WOOWEEWOOWEEWOO!!" which sounded like the guy saying "red alert" was also saying the "wooweewoo" part. :D
