Personally, I don't like the wings on G1-styled Megatrons. On Energon Galvatron, the wings are detachable, so I took em off and threw in the closet. On Classics Megs they aren't detachable, so I dremelled em off...
That's not intentionally detachable And I couldn't seem to make that work, so cutting them off just seemed easier. Besides, he still transforms... the gun shell just clamps around his folded up bot mode
Classics (or Henkei in my case) Megatron cause quite the problem. I dont like its toy gun altmode at all.. but I want it as an voyager (cuz prime is voyager) what mold to use? I still use Henkei, but dont like very much
just use a dremel to take his wings off. they can still go on for his alt mode, just be a parts former but he will look loads better.
Think of his gun shell as the equivalent of Prime's trailer. It goes to subspace when he goes to robot mode.
Masterpiece Meg has em too. I kind of use them for balance, not sure if it really works that way, but look's like they do something.

Most of those toys listed in the first post transform into things that fly. Of course there is wing kibble.
There not wings in a sense, but I think their part of the guns' barrel. I say wings cause they look like little insect wings in bot mode and their not really for balance, but look like they could be. Their the bit's that hang behind his legs.
Uh....are we talking about the same toy? The gun's barrel does not break up into parts. The entire barrel ends up on his back, nowhere near his legs. Nothing hangs behind Megatron's legs except for some kibble on his lower-back. In my opinion, they don't look like insect wings, and they weigh so little I can't imagine how they could be used for balance. It's just gun kibble that had to go somewhere.
