There are still MANY people who want the rights to any Spider-Man, X-Men, or non-Marvel-owned property to be returned to them. What some people don't understand is that Marvel can only afford to release two films a year, meaning that we probably wouldn't get a Marvel-produced Spider-Man or X-Men film for years, maybe even decades. Marvel seems to be more interested in getting the general audience interested in their lesser known characters rather than pumping out another film based on an already established one. And even so, if SPE really is going bankrupt, they'd probably try to sell the rights to another company before they returned to Marvel (ex. Universal, Fox, Liongate) much like what Carloco did when they sold the Spider-Man movie rights to MGM and the MGM vs. Sony legal battle occured.
