Found this online today, and it just got me laughing, especially with the holidays right around the corner. I would just have to wonder what my reaction would be if I saw this in a store in person

I would guess that the sign is real, but the whole "save -$10" seems like something that would be an obvious shop. Either that or the whole sign is just a nice joke.

    In any event :lolol

I saw something in Meijer's discount section. $30 regular price, discounted to 9 cents off. 9 cent savings!

Oh man I loved that game, heck i still do. Played it so much I could go start to finish in like 4 hours and if you ever played that game you know thats not an easy thing to do. now I need to dust of my NES and see if I can still do that. And as for the sign you never can tell when an employee is doing something like that to see if they can get away with it.I know i would but maybe thats why I'm not in retail., but looking at it I agree that it is more then likely a photoshop.

It's concievable. Big stores do price changes via a database at head office, and some putz might have accidentally checked the 'big sale make sure everybody sees it' box instead of the 'price hike just change the shelf tags and hope nobody notices' one.

The computer orders new signs printed off, they're shipped to the stores, and some minimum wager who doesn't give a damn either way decides it's more than his job's worth to question the manager who told him to go put up all the new sale signs.

Real or not, they really have a bad definition of sale and clearance. When I think of these things, $1 off doesn't exactly seem appropriate, especially for clearance, which I see happen a lot. Clearance makes me think they have to clear it out at a price people are really going to jump at compared to the original price. I guess it isn't just TRU though, since I just saw SW TF's on sale at Fred Meyers from 16.99 to 15.99... aren't they supposed to be 14.99?
