If I ever collected SW seriously enough I totally would love to do that.

Dude, that's RIDICULOUSLY awesome. Man...I so wish I collected Star Wars toys now...

Ever since the Republic gunship started showing up, I've been in love. That design is so awesome.

Glad to see you didn't fill that awesome ship with the ass-tastic battle pack with arguably the worst mold in modern Star Wars figures.

I will get that ship, and display it next to my ROTS ship, and my custom Utapau Shadow Gunship.

That looks good with those Tactical troopers in it.

Are you going to pick up the Hunt for Grievous set?

    Another Gunship pic

I like the removeable plate in it , even though it likes to fall out easy, but it's cool for tacking alot of troopers on
it for little battle scenes. pic

Good luck finding some pods. Oh yeah, did you know the area in the back on the inside is made to store a Speeder bike ? (Yep , you probably knew lol)

Why would you want to stick a load of the '95 Leia in it ?

Leia does have the arc mold beat, but that's why I added "arguably" before the desciption.

Booooo wheres the Ep 2 Clones? Their helmets look better and they're more accurate for that ship. But that ship does look pretty awesome.

the plate doesn't fall off easily on mine so i'm ok with it and yes i know a speeder can fit in there ONLY because you posted a pic of it for me (i requested pics in another post)

as for the hunt for grevious set, i dont think i want it however, i may pick up another ship only cuz i won this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&item=300000291619&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1.

as for the pods, i'm planning on making my own, i've seen some pics and i also work at Michael's arts and crafts so i have EVERYTHING i need at my disposal. plus, my dad is extremely handy. im already making plans on how to make it so that the pods actually move and that enclose the gunner as well.

i dont like the episode 2 helmet...i dunno y, seems too narrow for my liking. to me, the episode 3 helmets are THE best helmet in the star wars sagas.

Gotta agree with you there, there's just something about them.

I can't see the ARC Trooper hate myself. I don't think it's a bad figure. By the standard of the time it was reasonably articulated, decent sculpt, decent paint job. It's a better figure than the EII preview clone and the EII Red Clone. It's spoiled somewhat by being completely overshadowed by the superb SA Clone which debuted a few months later and has become the bench mark for all clone releases since. There are far worse figures than it though !

The old POTF2 Stormtrooper from 1995 is probably the worst troop builder, followed by the inexplicably static-armed Deluxe ROTS Jet Trooper.

Lack of knees and elbows (yeah, one swivel doesn't count in my book), absolutely ruin the figure for me. That and the fact that in order to get them to stand, you have to position the trooper so it looks like he threw out his back and is forced to stare upwards all the time. It was the first mold that I picked up when I started collecting Star Wars and it would have stopped me had it not been for the SA clone released later in the CW line.

Stormtroopers have been noticeable short changed in the Troop building dept. Just the 95 and Comtech versions released on a standard card - with an extra dlx and VOTC versions. By Comparison the Sandtrooper has had POTF2, POTJ & Saga 2 editions + Beast Pack & Evoloutions. Your Sand Trooper is in one bit of SW, Stormies are in all 3 films !

To my eye I prefer the Comtech helmet to the VOTC one and feel a new Stortrooper is in order in mass quantities in the main line. As a bonus do it as Luke and Han Trooper variants - no reason we can't army build them with their helmets on. Though of course we do now need a Stormtrooper with removable Helmet and a clone head underneath.

Great pics! I wish I had the space for a gunship again, I had to sell my first one because it was just too damn big.

As for clones, I'm not that versed in them, but from everything I've seen the ep3 SA clone is by far the best. I picked up the Hunt For Grevious pack since I wanted some blue guys, and... well, they suck. 3 of 'em anyway, hardly any joints.

The upcoming Saga Sandtrooper can serve as a Stormtrooper if need be - the shoulder pauldron is removable.
