    Link

Not sure if Capcom still adopts this combo system for their fighting games. But in the case of Marvel vs Capcom 2 it's a bit rediculous

I mean 1)999 hits GOOD LORD 2)You barely take any damage anyway

Remember back in the days of Street Fighter II,Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II?

In those days the right 5 hit combo could almost kill you. I used to think the high combos of Capcom's post X-Men:COTA games were cool(although in COTA it was hard to get above 30 hits consecutively). But when a person can still be alive after 999 consecutive hits I think it's assanine:redface2:

Like I said I don't know if Capcom fighting games still use this system. But in the case of the link I provided it's IMPO pretty stupid and would ruin the enjoyment of the game for me

That doesnt happen through normal play. Notice that the player getting hit is not blocking, but takes no damage at all. It's done in practice mode.

ANYONE can do that in practice mode (console versions only), because as I said (and several people in the comment section of the video did too), no one takes any damage from anything.

I blame the insane fighting game combo nonsense on Killer Instinct, personally.

You're wondering if they still use that kind of a combo system? Dude, they'd have to still actually be making fighting games to do that.

Besides, that particular combo system was only used in the two Marvel vs. Capcom games. The previous two vs. games had a combo system that felt more like Marvel Superheroes.

MvC2 is SUPPOSED to be ridiculous.

Every character is ludicrously overpowered and the combos show it. Capcom does this kind of thing every so often as a joke. Remember Dan?

As an aside, I have mastered Sentinel's infinite combo. It is badass.

I dream of the day when Capcom will face SNK in the arena of ultimate combat fighting mayhem attack styles.

You know what I'd love to see? Some sort of Namco / Capcom crossover. I'd love to see some of those Soul Blade guys going up against the Darkstalkers... a guy can dream, right?
