I check these out occasionally when I'm tired of looking at the boards and I'm at work. I thought you guys might get a kick out of them. For those not familiar with webcams, if you click the links, just refresh that page once every 2 or 3 minutes. It's neat. You get to watch a quasi-video of how the day passes in other places in the world. Some intersection in Germany A small, regional airport; could be Germany, Denmark; I'm not sure. A mountainside hotel in...Switzerland? Not sure here, either Looking east from a tall building at the University of Frankfurt, Germany Some hill in France Albion Square in London A shipping port in...Iceland? Not sure here.
Here. Seriously though, try this webcam at a beach in my city: BIKINI CHICKS LIVE HERE?!?! And here's a few different cams around the city all on one handy page (including more beach cams): Taa-da!
Yeah, it's kinda weird; sometimes it updates, sometimes it doesn't. Unless you mean that I've got the wrong location. I pulled that one from a google search for "London Webcams." There's this one BBC page that comes up with a buttload of London city webcams; some of them update regularly, some of them update like twice and then just stop. If you've got the ActiveX super-live-image-camera plugin thingie, this one of Moscow at night is pretty neat: Moscow intersection
http://www.wtoctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=872519 I like looking at Google Earth. I don't remember which city it was, but they actually captured a NFL game in progress once. I think it may have been Seattle.
I've heard about stuff like this. Heard there was one in Africa where you could see animals. But I thought it was actual video footage, not refreshed images. Anyways, should be cool.
There's a nudist somewhere in... Holland or somewhere that you can see sunbaking on their roof in Google Earth ^^ Sadly, the bookmark is on my old HD and lost to me *sighs* along with GE. A webcam set I enjoy looking at every so often is: http://www.geonet.org.nz/volcanocam.html The pictures only update about once an hour or so, but they're fun... one of the White Island ones has a Dino figure glued onto a sign... the scientists watching these thought the plastic would melt, but it's been there a while now (check http://www.geonet.org.nz/images/whiteis.jpg for that one).
Yeah, the London one isn't updating. Try these ones instead or there's my old home town of Edinburgh which includes a streaming video link. And of course, one of my fav set of cams: Whistler
That is Germany, yes. Nope, Germany again. Aha! That is actually from Isafjord, Iceland! Tru dat. Nope, that is actually the Checz republic there..... That doesn't look much up-to-date now does it....then again it doesn't look like it has been updated since Nov 7th... Not even close. That is the Svalbard island, which is almost the friggin North pole or something, and belongs to Denmark (AFAIK) For some cool webcams from Iceland, check these out: http://www.webvejr.dk/webcams_island.htm
