That's pretty cool that Scatman was a fellow Hoosier. I think they should definitely put up a sign about him since, no offense to You Moroni Prime, Terre Haute is kinda a s#*^hole.

Terre Haute sounds like a nice town... next time I drive through Indiana, I'll be sure to pass through.

He doesn't need to tell me that. I already know. His wife however is really nice and super hot. I'm not saying that Bloomington is really any better. I think MOST Indiana cities fall into that category.

Hey... if it wasn't for the Wright brothers, we wouldn't have air travel. Besides, you should be proud to live in a town that was the home of someone famous... or at least has a really rich history.

I'm proud to live just outside Chelsea, Michigan. It's where Jeff Daniels lives.

hmmm... here's some other interesting facts about indiana:
    1) You're from the same town where Larry Bird played college basketball. Mick Mars (guitarist from Motley Crue) was also born there.
    2) You're from the same state as really famous people like Michael Jackson, John Mellencamp, James Dean, Greg Kinnear, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, David Lee Roth, Axl Rose, and Izzy Stradlin
    3) The Hartmans are from Ft. Wayne
    4) Hasbro's TF lead designer Eric Siebenaler is from Indiana too

I'm sure, no, I guarantee he was being sarcastic.

So far as I know, I haven't lived anywhere that was the birthplace or home of anyone famous in particular, but I wouldn't really care either. Because I'll be the claim to fame of those places soon enough. :D

I live in the hometown of the Estefan family, as in Gloria Estefan. I can't recall if other famous people have come from Tucson or not.

Well thats kinda cool, I guess. At least they can put up a sign that has something positive on it. My hometown sign oughta say something like: Home of America's most depressed people, but we got enough meth labs to keep 'em satisfied.

My home town (Halifax, UK) has spawned the late wrestler Big Daddy, the serial killer John Christie, the TV weatherman John Kettley, former Blue Peter presenter John Noakes, inventor of road 'cats eyes' Percy Shaw, TV chef Brian Turner and, ummm, a massive bank.

I defy any American to have heard of any of these people...

    Move to Idaho...

Just kidding! There's like, 5 people here.

Scatman Crothers seemed like a genuinely sweet guy. Also, he was Scat Cat from the Aristocats. Since I love Disney movies, that adds to his awesomeness.

Everybody wants to be a cat...
