I'm glad I hesitated towards the TAKARA version.

 

Looks good overall, however I'm disappointed about the U.S. teeth not as sharp as Takara. Otherwise, the price point is good!

I really want this figure but I wasn't willing to pay the $150 fo the takara version. The same figure for a cheaper price, can't beat that.

 

I'm glad I got the Takara version, but I wouldn't mind having one of these as well.
It will be tough convincing the wife I need two MP Grimlocks though!

 

I already have the Takara version, but I've been looking for a cheaper way to get another Grimmy. That way I can keep one in Dino mode and the other in 'bot mode. I'm also very interested in seeing what the packaging for the Hasbro version will look like.

Good, good stuff. The safety 'bluntings' don't bother me, falling under the category of stuff I wouldn't notice if it wasn't directly pointed out. The added red & white stripes aren't great, though I can see they are based on the stickers from the G1 toy. Overall I'm very pleased with this one. It might be the first Masterpiece toy I try to army-build.  

 

This makes me so happy. I'll finally get a shot at this guy!

 

We only know the Canadian price, as it's turned up on TRU computers at $70CDN, I have a feeling it'll be £65-75 over here.

 

Much better then the prices for the Japanese version.  

 

Yes! No major epic changes have been made to him! Awesome, another MP to try and add to my collection when he's released. I just hope he doesn't cost too much.

 

Here's hoping that Toys'R'Us Malaysia will get it around the same time as its imminent release in Canada.. Maybe in time for Christmas?

I still think my animated Grimlock looks a tad better looking to my eyes.

 

THIS is why I stayed away from even looking at MP Grim when I was at Botcon last year--because I would have bought him and spent the $150 or whatever it was. The duller teeth and claws aren't that big a deal to me. I'm totally excited about getting this guy.  

 

I'll buy him and sell the crown to somebody here^^
