I refer people to this thread, see my post ( 3d on the page ) http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=126487&page=6 where I give my idea how Skorponok transforms to become the rotor assembly + mounted engines of the chopper. All the markings we see on the toy back this up by the way, including the "danger" arrow on one of his arms, this is actually on the engine intakes I refer to. The "rescue" symbol is on the front side of the chopper also, so my guess is they're taking some liberty with the toy markings, but then again we did see in the "hidden" tv spot how complex these transformations are going to be. Flame on!
Meh i will just get him with blackout because blackout comes with a mini scorponok ^^ and in robot and in scorpion mode they both look the same
Well Im not proud of the robot mode, but I like the detail, especially the rotary teeth inside his claws. And its cool since to blend in with blackout he has the fuel warnings on his sides and by his face. Pretty cool
Kinda weak, especially for a deluxe. I'd have forgiven this level of detail in a scout, and I feel like it would've been a little closer to scale with Blackout. Might've improved the combination also, if there is one, which would rock and guarantee this guy gets purchased. The watermark makes me hear him spitting at me when I look at the pictures.
Anyone knows wht Scorponok's alt mode is when dispatched by Blackout? And does anyone have a link to the leaked script?
His robot mode isn't all that different from his scorpion. He just basically stands up. Not very orignal IMO. I'll pass on the deluxe and just be satisfied with the little Scorponok that comes with Blackout.
I don't care for it as a normal transformer, but it might look cool if placed with some sharkticons in a diorama.
he still has the markings then? there were a few people saying this was a mistake in the prototype and that they probably misprinted them on him instead of Blackout and that he was in no way part of the chopper. going by what's written in Ghosts of Yesterday I'd still say he actually joins onto Blackout in some way in both modes (he's even stated as being his symbiote). So i still think it's a pity they didn't add this as a feature with the mini scorpy that comes with blackout (other than just superficially having him carried) or that the deluxe's paint scheme doesn't refelct this either.
His Alt mode is pretty cool, but I wish they would have put more into his bot mode. I won't be picking him up, but he's pretty cool none the les.
Still looks like a Playskool 1-2-3 jobber. Whoever designed that disaster evidently must've gotten a pay cut that day, put salt instead of sugar in his coffee, not enough coffee, or something to make him hate on the potential consumer that much.
